Once upon a time… (because every great love story deserves a fairy-tale intro)

…in 2019, two unsuspecting hearts landed on Bumble. Daniell was the brave one: she saw Jonathan’s profile, tapped a wave emoji, and…. That little emoji kicked off a chat that sparkled from day one.

They finally set a date—only to be foiled by work obligations: first Jonathan, then Daniell. Each thought, “Okay, if the next one gets canceled, we’ll just call it quits.” Thankfully… they didn’t.

On their first rescheduled dinner date, they clicked instantly. Daniell thought, “Wow, he’s handsome, hilarious…and yes, his taste in music is questionable.” Jonathan, meanwhile, was enamored: “She’s stunning, funny—and don’t get me started on that taste in music.” Talk about cosmic harmony in discord!

Fast forward to October 2019, when Jonathan asked Daniell to “Go Steady.” (Romantic? Very.) Soon after, they moved into their first apartment together—just in time to weather the chaos of a global pandemic. Spending days cooking, chilling, and surviving Netflix marathons only made their bond stronger.

In 2023, they upgraded to a bigger space… and added the cutest roommate ever: Zeus, their fur baby.

Life was golden: traveling to Cabo, New Orleans, Venice, Florence, Rome—you name it. With every adventure, their shared love for life and each other deepened.

Then came December 21, 2024—on a crisp winter’s eve, Jonathan whisked Daniell away to a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles, against the glittering skyline. There, he got down on one knee and popped the question. She said yes. They now joke they’re “getting pretty serious.”

And seriously, they are. Jonathan and Daniell can’t wait to become spouses, to build a life together, and to raise a family—hopefully with lots of laughs, questionable playlists, and a few more furry companions.
