A Summary of Us

During Welcome Week at MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering), Ethan and Faith met briefly among the bustling introductions and activities. It wouldn't be until Faith made friends with students from her Differential Equations class when she would see Ethan again. After class one day, Faith got invited to play Tetris and watch movies with her friends. She would later learn that Ethan lived in the neighboring dorm room. Faith stood out not just for laughing at Ethan's jokes but also for her speed and ability to answer math equations in a round of Kahoot. He would later learn about her serious approach to studying and evident intelligence. She often immersed herself in books or engaged in discussions during tutoring sessions. In her free time, she enjoyed trying new activities to meet other students like open skate and joining various clubs and organizations. Meanwhile, Ethan embarked on his freshman year with a keen interest in learning and exploring random hobbies like resin art and woodworking. His love for cars and video games provided him with other creative outlets and more opportunities to learn something new. As Ethan and Faith continued to cross paths on campus, their friendship deepened. Faith's curiosity about Ethan's hobbies encouraged him to share more about his passions. She appreciated his inquisitive nature and his approach to life with a desire to learn and discover new things. They spent time exploring the area around campus together, finding new study spots, or bonding over post-class gaming sessions and once, attempted making brownies in their dorm's kitchen. Their college experience wasn't just about academics but also about self-discovery and supporting each other. Through their shared experiences and meaningful conversations, Ethan began to gain clarity about himself, supported by Faith's unwavering belief in him. They often reflected on how their meeting seemed like part of a greater plan, guided by faith and purpose. After graduating from MSOE, Faith pursued her passion in Biomedical Engineering and secured a position at GE HealthCare, a medical imaging company. Her days are now filled with analyzing data and developing leadership skills in her operations focused work program. Ethan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering found fulfillment in his internship with Komatsu, working with Manufacturing Engineering systems. Later, he was offered a job in automation specializing in programming for robotic welding, which blends his love for engineering technology with hands-on problem-solving. Faith and Ethan's journey have continued beyond college as they establish themselves in their careers and shape their lives to align with their aspirations. Evenings are often spent discussing their work or enjoying meals together while weekends are filled with catching up with college friends, spontaneous dates like strawberry picking and exploring different cuisines. Through the challenges and successes of college graduation and beginning their careers, they have remained pillars of strength for each other. Their shared values of curiosity, determination, and a passion for learning strengthened their bond. They often acknowledge how their faith guided them toward each other and trust in God's plan as they continue to navigate through adulthood. Their relationship has flourished, rooted in friendship, shared interests, and a profound connection that began during their college days at MSOE.

MSOE is our alma mater, and we’d love for you to stroll through campus and see where we spent some of our most memorable years together. Whether it’s walking along the Riverwalk nearby or snapping a photo by the campus center, it's a fun little stop for those wanting a glimpse into our college days.

This little ramen shop holds a special place in our hearts—it’s where we shared a fair amount of date nights over the years. Artisan Ramen is known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious, comforting bowls. If you're looking for a great meal while you're in town, this is one of our favorites.

Wisconsin Cheese Mart is one of our favorite spots downtown. They have an amazing selection of local cheeses (plus snacks and fun foodie finds) that are perfect for sampling or taking home as a tasty souvenir.If you love cheese even half as much as Wisconsin does, this place is a must-visit!

Atwater Park is our favorite beachside spot just north of the city. With stunning lake views, walking paths, and a quiet, peaceful vibe, it’s a great place to relax, take photos, or enjoy a moment by the water.

The Mitchell Park Domes are a unique Milwaukee treasure—three giant glass domes, each housing different climates and plant life from around the world. They’re a peaceful, beautiful spot to wander through and take a break from the city.It’s a great indoor option if you’re looking for something relaxing and a little unexpected!

Grebe’s is a Milwaukee classic, serving up fresh, delicious donuts and baked goods since 1937. Whether you’re grabbing a quick donut to go or stocking up for a hotel room treat, this bakery is always a hit. (Also, fun fact it is near one of the GE HealthCare facilities where Faith worked!)

If you find yourself outside of downtown and in need of a great cup of coffee, The Bread Pedalers is a must-visit. This cozy little café and bakery offers thoughtfully brewed coffee and homemade pastries in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.We had a hard time picking just one coffee shop to feature—so if you're a fellow coffee lover, don’t hesitate to ask us for more recommendations. We have a whole list!

The Bread Pedalers

Perfect for families or anyone who loves animals, the Milwaukee County Zoo is one of the best in the Midwest. With over 2,000 animals and beautiful walking paths, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon outside the city center.
