Our Story

Much to everyone's surprise, Joni and Horace have known each other for over 20 years.

While in High School, where Horace attended St. George's College and Joni attended Immaculate Conception High School they were introduced by a mutual friend.

They spent many nights chatting away on the phone making use of Digicel's "free nights and weekends" plan that was around at the time getting to know each other better.

It eventually blossomed to where they would attend events and parties together to socialize, and Horace would make the journey after a long night to drive Joni home (as she did not have a driver's licence yet).

It wasn't in the cards for them at the time to continue dating, but they were very much still in each other's hearts.

Fast forwarding to November 2024 where Horace surprised Joni and sent her a bouquet of red roses for her birthday, and they have maintained the connection ever since.

They still have endless hours of conversation, just as they did when they were teenagers.

While on a trip to Florida in May 2025, Joni was out celebrating one of her best friend's birthday and Horace surprised her and traveled from Jamaica along with his sister and asked her to marry him.
