Our Story

Our Lovestory

Picture of Our Lovestory

The both of us went to school together ever since we were very young. Come fifth grade, we were “boyfriend-girlfriend”. We attended events for one another such as birthday parties, and even went to a Valentine’s Day Boy Scout dance together (with the photos to prove it).

At the end of the year, I transferred to the Warren Consolidated School District and didn’t see Justin again until much later.

When I was 23, I was working for Center Line Public Schools. I had attended a game night a coworker was hosting. Her daughter went to school with Justin and after discovering we “went together” in elementary, called him up and he came over.

We played games, laughed, and had an amazing time. When the night was over, he an I said goodbye to everyone. We got outside, intending to part ways, but decided we didn’t want to go home yet. We drove to a nearby bar, sang karaoke, and have been talking everyday ever since❤️

Thank you for letting us share our love with you. Enjoy our Family Game Night themed evening!

The Proposal

I knew for some time I wanted to marry Jordan. However, we were both very busy and wanted to wait for the right time. Jordan had gone back to school and dedicated a lot of her time to it. As her birthday rolled around, I couldn't contain myself any longer. I bought the ring, but decided I'd wait until her semester was finished to ask. We planned what she believed to be an end of the semester date day, but I had different intentions. I took work off and on the warm morning of July 20th, 2023, we had made plans to go to the Detroit Zoo. We love animals, it's one of our favorite places to be with each other.

We strolled through the butterfly house, of course that's always the first stop. Then the new penguin exhibit, (so cool). As we walked our way through the courtyard we noticed a caricature vendor and got ours done. We went through the reptile house and eventually ended with the giraffes, which is when I decided we needed to take a rest and enjoy our picnic.

After we finished our lunch and got up, I told her to close her eyes... as I set up the camera and got on one knee, she realized what was happening. I asked that beautiful woman to be my partner for the rest of my life. She was filled with surprise, emotion, and said yes! Our hearts intertwined as we hugged and kissed. We practically ran back to the car since a big storm was rolling in, but made sure to stop at the caricature kiosk and thank our artist for giving us such a beautiful piece to remember the day by.

We are so happy you will be joining us and we can all remember this day forever, together.
