Things to Do

Below you'll find some of our favourite things to do in Vancouver!

QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK

Queen Elizabeth Park has one of the most stunning views of Vancouver and is located at 4600 Cambie Street. While there you can tour the beautiful walking paths and smell the flowers, visit the Bloedel Conservatory, take in a pitch and putt game of golf and eat at the beautiful Seasons in the Park (reservations highly recommended).

VANCOUVER'S SEAWALL

Vancouver has the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path. The 28 km Seaside Greenway is an uninterrupted pathway, including the Stanley Park Seawall, that extends from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Spanish Banks Park. Perfect for a walk, cycle, or jog, it is the most popular recreational spot in the city.

Here's a printable map of the seawall

We highly recommend getting out and exploring all the beauty of the seawall!

COMMERCIAL DRIVE

This is our neighbourhood! Pack a day of eating and shopping into your itinerary.

Described as "A culturally rich and authentic neighbourhood, Commercial Drive - also known as The Drive - is one of the best and most colourful shopping, dining and nightlife districts you will find in the city; and boasts home to Vancouver’s own 8 block officially designated Little Italy, representing more than 60 years of Italian heritage. Day or evening, The Drive offers 22 full blocks to explore with over 300 distinct merchants, including quaint boutiques, an eclectic collection of restaurants, a vibrant live music and bar scene, dinner and dancing, theatres, coffee houses, specialty food stores and bakeries."

DEEP COVE

You have to check out Deep Cove. Whether you feel like going for a hike, eating donuts, sitting beside the water or on the water in a rented kayak or stand up paddle board (SUP), Deep Cove has amazing views and a small village feel. After your activities check out Honey's Donuts for some of our favourite donuts in the lower mainland.

KITSILANO BEACH

One of the busiest and action packed beaches, Kitsilano Beach, known as "Kits" Beach, is located on Cornwall Ave at the north end of Yew St.

This is one of Vancouver's most popular beaches offering panoramic views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore Mountains. Surrounded by park land, restaurants, and beautiful people, it's the quintessential Vancouver beach experience.

For avid pool goers there is a one of a kind 137 meter outdoor pool breathtakingly overlooking the ocean.

Just a bit further down from Kitsilano Beach is Jericho Beach at 3941 Point Grey Road, which is Jordan's favourite beach for wild bunny watching and some of the best beachcombing.

CYPRESS VIEWPOINT

Cypress Mountain Viewpoint located on the second switchback of Cypress Bowl Road in West Vancouver is one of the best and most accessible places in Vancouver for panoramic views of the Lower Mainland. On a clear day, you can see across the Georgia Straight to Vancouver Island and southeast to Mount Baker in Washington State.

We love to drive here to watch the sunrise or sunset. The Cypress Mountain Viewpoint is equipped with toilets and picnic tables so you can spend hours up here admiring the view.

LONSDALE QUAY

Lonsdale Quay is on the North Shore and you can get there by Aqua Bus (City transportation by boat!). There is a market and shops to explore as well as a beautiful view of Vancouver.

From the website:

Originally a bustling hub for the shipbuilding industry, the area has evolved into a dynamic urban center while still maintaining its unique maritime heritage. Today, Lonsdale Quay stands as a vibrant marketplace where locals and visitors alike can indulge in an array of artisanal food vendors, boutique shops, and lively entertainment.

With stunning views of downtown Vancouver and the surrounding mountains, Lonsdale Quay serves as a gateway to numerous outdoor activities and attractions. Whether it's exploring nearby parks and trails, embarking on a scenic ferry ride, or simply soaking in the breathtaking views, there is no shortage of adventures to be had.

CAPITAL HILL VIEWPOINT

Video on the viewpoint

This is a bit of a hidden gem (although it's becoming more popular now). Nestled in a Burnaby neighborhood is this beautiful view point. Very chill location where you can lay out a blanket and watch the sunset with some take out.

We love to drive up here and hang out while the sun goes down on our beautiful city.
