Where it all began...

It was a Tuesday night at one of the dive bars in State College... Pierce offered to pay for Jordy's $5 long island iced tea and the rest is history. Over the past six years, we’ve navigated life’s ups and downs comforted in the fact that we will always have each other. We've celebrated milestones, tackled life's challenges, and even managed to get through the occasional IKEA furniture assembly without a major argument. The Proposal Pierce decided to pop the question on a gorgeous December day in Cape May, NJ. He convinced Jordy that their annual holiday trip to the beach was a graduation trip for her Master's degree. Blissfully unaware, Jordy gallivanted around town while Pierce hid is nerves extremely well. Overjoyed (and thoroughly impressed by Pierce's planning skills), Jordy could not say yes fast enough. The last shock of the day included Jordy's best friend Olivia/Maid of Honor and her fiance jumping out of the sand dunes. Best. Day. Ever. And So, the Adventure Continues As we prepare to take the plunge into married life, we’re excited to embark on this next chapter. Our journey together has been filled with laughter, love, and plenty of Netflix. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you who’ve shared in our story so far. The Wayne Hotel is a boutique hotel located 4.5 miles from the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian church and 4 miles from Appleford. We have a room block that provides a discounted rate for your stay. Airport & Additional Travel Info

The Philadelphia International Airport is about 23 miles (35 minutes) from the Courtyard Philadelphia Devon/Villanova and the Wayne Hotel. Ubers, Lyfts and taxis are readily available at the airport as well as car rentals. The wedding venue and the hotels are located outside of the city of Philadelphia. You are welcome to stay in the city and explore, just be sure to account for traffic when traveling to the church and wedding venue.

Take a walk in Valley Forge National Historical Park. The park is located about 15 minutes from the wedding venue and Courtyard Hotel. Perfect for our history buffs (you know who you are!) Stoneleigh: a natural garden. Located at 1829 County Line Rd, Villanova, PA 19085. This is the perfect place to explore on a beautiful day. It is just 5 minutes from Appleford and 15 minutes from the Courtyard Marriott. Chanticleer Garden is a beautiful garden located just a mile from the Wayne Hotel and 2.5 miles from the Courtyard Marriott. Matine's Cafe in Wayne, PA is located at 757 Lancaster Ave, just 1.5 miles from the Wayne Hotel and is walkable from the Courtyard Marriott. It is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots. Terrain Cafe in Devon, PA is 5 minutes from the Courtyard Marriott. Great for brunch and lunch.
