Serendipity is how our story begins
Jordan had sprung into a new apartment starting a new chapter of her life. At the same time, Michael decided to move his entire life to Florida for an everlasting adventure with his friend Chris. Before Michael had even crossed the Florida Georgia line, Michael received a phone call from Chris. “Mike, you’re not going to believe this... but I think I just met YOUR girl. Her name is Jordan. She’s a really cool nurse and has an awesome Australian Shepherd. She just moved in above us. You’ll see when you meet her.” Chris had no idea how right he was. A week after Michael moved in, he ran into Jordan walking her dog, Nora. He eagerly introduced himself pretending not to know her or her dog's name, as he knew right away who she was. When Michael reentered his apartment, he said to Chris “Yeah... you nailed that one on the head.”
Over the next few months, Michael understood that Jordan walked her dog at the same time each day before going to work at the hospital. He tried to facilitate casual run-ins with Jordan by stealing Chris’s dog and walking her at the same time. It worked. The causal run-ins allowed for Michael and Jordan to begin building a friendship. Sure enough, one night while walking Chris’s dog, he found Jordan on her porch with her friends, Niqi and Nicole. As smooth as ever, Michael said, “Hey do you guys like tequila?” Excitedly, the girls replied “YES!” Michael quickly went back to his apartment and got himself ready to finally be invited upstairs and into a social setting where he could really get to know Jordan. After arriving to her apartment, he could tell Jordan was nervous. She just wouldn’t stop cleaning what already appeared to be clean, not making eye contact, and distracting herself from talking with Michael at every opportunity. It was during this time that Michael found out that Jordan had a boyfriend. Instead of backing down, Michael thought that a friendship would be better than nothing at all. Afterall, he thought Jordan was an incredible woman. So, Michael and Jordan remained friends.
Time goes on and they carry on with their separate lives, stealing conversations whenever possible. Then the unexpected happened. A pandemic. With the world upside down, Michael knew that Jordan was enduring extremely difficult times. He sent her a text, “Hey Jordan, I know you must be going through a lot right now. If you need me to do anything... pick up your groceries, walk Nora while you're at work, you let me know. I got you.” After checking in with Jordan, her conversations began to change. Her responses got quicker and longer, and it was then that Michael knew; Jordan was single. Michael and Jordan began speaking often, from a few times a week to every day. Michael could not contain his excitement…he had been waiting for this girl for over a year. His patience was finally paying off. They spent the next two months getting closer and closer. Michael asked Jordan if she would like to go on a date... however, she could not see Michael, as she was working the pandemic. So they did what we all learned to do best during the pandemic, FaceTime. Despite the lack of being in person, Michael and Jordan’s first ever date ended up better than any date they had ever been on. It was 8 hours of endless laughter and storytelling. By the time they knew it, it was 5 a.m. Upon ending their first date, Jordan was.... Well, she was in love, and she told everyone! A few days later, Jordan woke up to a surprise on her front porch. An orchid, two bottles of wine, and a card that was handwritten from front to back expressing that Michael felt the same.
From this time on, Michael and Jordan have been best friends and head over heels in love with each other. They are so excited to include all their closest friends and family on their most special day!
