Our Wedding

From a swipe to a cheesy pick-up line to a first date, fast forward nearly 6 years later and here we are. A blended family of 6, a home, our babies (dogs), work advances and a completely different life, who would have thought? Forever grateful from our first meeting at Lazer Quest where I was almost ghosted in the parking lot, and none of this would have happened. Thankfully, I was able to pull out 20 loonies, so we played air hockey (which I won by the way) and other games to keep Rylan and Nevaeh busy while we awkwardly waited to get called into our match. Hearts beating, sweat dripping and not sure what to say, we got out of there faster than ever. Come to my surprise I wasn’t blocked on Snapchat realizing I must have done something right that afternoon. Jump to the summer of 2020 which everyone all remembers but also seems to forget. We go to Canmore and Banff short notice on an Air B&B cancellation for a few days where I got up the courage to ask Mackenzie to be my girlfriend. We had just hiked a mountain that overlooked a lake, a perfect opportunity to ask her. She says she blacked out when I asked her (she did say yes) but denies any memory of it happening. We finally purchased our house in the spring of 2023 after I was sick of living out of a backpack between her place and my parents. Mackenzie didn’t even look at it in person (she was away for work, so must really trust me) and we pretty much renovated all of it. She took the lead while I just made many trips to Home Depot. On Good Friday 2024 we brought our little fur-babies home, they seemed to complete our little family which we had blended together. After another long awkward moment on my end, I built up the courage and got down on one knee (Mackenzie also claims to have blacked out for this but she did say yes) with a smile, tears and shock of disbelief and asked me over and over if I was serious. We have come full circle in our relationship, despite the zigzags and non-traditional way as some may think, but here we are. We are asking all of you to come celebrate our special day and make another great memory to cherish forever. Please take a lot of pictures and videos since Mackenzie will also probably black out and forget it all anyways. Hope to see you all! Jordan and Mackenzie

When Swiping Right Turns Into “I Do’s” – Our Story 

Our ceremony will take place on Willow Island, within the heart of Wascana Park. Parking is limited in the lot just outside of the Willow Island dock, however there are multiple lots within Wascana, and street parking available right on Broad Street. Please arrive early to secure a parking spot! A ferry will take you on a short (2 min) boat ride across to the island. The ferry fits approximately ten people per trip, that is why we ask that you arrive promptly at 1:45pm to allow time for everyone to get over to the island before the ceremony begins!

Following the ceremony, guests will make their way to the White City Community Center about ten minutes east out of Regina. Cocktails will begin at 4:00pm.

There is a convenient hotel in White City - very close to the reception. This hotel is located 3.5km from the White City Community Centre. The hotel is pet friendly and serves a complimentary, hot breakfast. The room is $115/night/room. Of course, feel free to book rooms at the hotel of your choosing.
