Most people before any major life decision pose the question "Is this right?"

I've had the privilege of dating Katelyn since I was in the 8th grade. We dated through high school and all of college - although we took our talents to different places - Katelyn to Texas A&M while I attended SOSU.

As our relationship deepened after years of dating, I knew I was approaching an important decision. Here came the question, "Is this right?". As that question played out in my mind I found myself thinking of Katelyn's wonderful qualities. She is so kind and sweet, always desiring to serve, and loves so well. It's not how she makes me feel that captivates me, but her steadfast pursuit of holiness. I am a better man because of her. She has edified me, challenged me, and come along side me faithfully in our journey. So - that universal question left as quickly as it came. Asking Katelyn to marry me was one of the easiest, most sure things I've ever done. I am so thankful for her and the blessing that she is.

We do not have everything figured out nor are we perfect, but our desire to serve and love one another is something we both fight for. We do not trust in our fight alone to do this well. We trust in JESUS CHRIST constantly molding us to be more like Himself. This gives us the ability to serve and love the other. For this reason we cannot wait to enter into the covenant of marriage before GOD and those we love!

To each of you - we both are very grateful for the role you play in our lives. From shaping us as youngsters, consistently loving us in hard times or being steadfast friends - you have bettered us. Whatever your role, we are extremely thankful for the manner in which you have chosen to bless me and Katelyn. We hope to see everyone at the wedding as we joyfully join in holy matrimony and celebrate what CHRIST has planned!
