Just 1 hour away from Palm Springs, this is our favorite National Park. When we lived in Southern California, we would take day trips to hike and rock climb together. Our tradition was to get up at 5am, get coffee and donuts from a local donut shop, and get to the park at 7am when it was still quiet and waking up. These trips were always so magical, we would highly recommend you experience it while you’re here!

A 10-minute rotating tram ride up to the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. All kinds of hiking trails, two restaurants, an observation deck, and gift shop all at the top. We went rock climbing with friends in the park and it was an unforgettable experience. Even without exploring the trails, it’s worth just doing the ride itself! It is 30 minutes away from the venue.

Very close to Downtown Palm Springs. It is 25 minutes from the venue.

Shopping mall in Downtown Palm Desert. It is 17 minutes from the venue.

Another great shopping district. There’s a Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar here! It is 17 minutes from the venue.

Desert Hot Springs is known as California’s “Spa City”. Check out this website for a list of all the best spas in the area and book a visit for some rest & relaxation!

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a nonprofit, accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, ensuring the highest standards of all aspects of animal care, education, conservation, public service, and operations. The Zoo is active in conservation research, habitat protection, breeding programs and education initiatives around the world, as well as in its own community. The Zoo has been a top attraction in the Palm Springs area for more than 50 years. It is 20 minutes from the venue.

All the outlets your heart could desire. Right next to Morongo Casino! It is a 30 minute drive from the venue.

If you’re thinking of going into LA area, definitely check out Orange County and do a day at Disneyland! It is a 2 hour drive from Palm Springs. There are 2 parks (Disneyland and California Adventure) and you can purchase a park hopper pass to get access to both, which we would highly recommend. Experience the magic! If you don’t want to do the parks, you can go to Downtown Disney for shopping and restaurants.

Gorgeous views of LA and the Hollywood sign from here. There are many hiking trails up to the observatory and up to the Hollywood sign within Griffith Park. Check out their website for more information on different events and exhibits going on. It is 2 hours and 15 minutes from the venue and a 20 minute drive from LA (depending on traffic).

Beautiful grounds, huge variety of plant life, art exhibits, extensive library collections, and a gift shop. You could spend a whole day here if you wanted to. It is a 2 hour drive from Palm Springs, but is close to Pasadena, which has great options for shopping, restaurants, shows, and hiking trails.

If you want to see the Golden Coast, then plan to go here! It’s so pretty and iconic. Grab a churro and watch the surfers. It is 2.5 hours from the venue and a 35 minute drive from LA (depending on traffic).

A 20-minute drive from the Santa Monica Pier up the PCH to this Hawaiian restaurant with the most amazing views right on the ocean! The food is spectacular and cocktails are delicious. A must try.

One of our top favorite beaches because of the beautiful scenery, convenient parking, and good waves. If you’re looking for a beach day off of the PCH west of LA, this is a great option. It is a 35-minute drive up the PCH from the Santa Monica Pier.

A little over 2 hours from Palm Springs to San Diego. We would recommend planning for at least 2 days here if you want to spend some time in this city. Some things to check out: bars and restaurants downtown (Water Grill is a favorite of ours), San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, ride the trolley, Old Town San Diego (go to Fiesta de Reyes), take a drive over the bridge to Coronado Island, or drive 15 minutes north of the city to La Jolla to see seals and sea lions on the shore. And you must visit the Sunset Cliffs and Torrey Pines for incredible coastal, cliff side views!
