Jordan and Dan both did Teach for America in Kansas City - Dan in 2015 and Jordan in 2017. They laid eyes on each other for the first time at an apartment that was hosting a pre-game and Jordan asked her friend “did you see that cute guy?” and she nodded and agreed and they spent the next full year thinking of two different men from that party. They more officially met during a night out in Westport, exchanged numbers, and Jordan promptly ghosted (first year teaching is rough). Fast forward 7 months and Jordan heard his name everywhere - friends working with him, friends observing him teach, seeing an infamous video of him running around with his pants ripped - and she deeply regretted not going on that date. Thankfully, Jordan has wonderfully bold friends who pushed her to text him one night and they made plans to get drinks on May 30th, 2018 and the rest has been beautiful history.
