We met at Truman State University (Go Bulldogs!) in our Intro into Teaching Physical Education. We then grew our friendship the following year in Fundamentals of Rhythm and Dance Class. The pivotal point in our friendship was our Outdoor Recreation class were we became best friends. Being best friends turned into something more after the class and we finished out our time together at TSU in a relationship.

We both graduated from Truman State with a BS in Exercise Science and Master's in Education. We graduated at different times but managed to maintain a long-distance relationship for about a year. We both currently teach Physical Education and Health.

We got engaged in June 10th, 2022 in Wasatch National Forest, Salt Lake City.

Nathan proposed while we were on top of a waterfall in the middle of a hike. Fortunately, Nathan's brother, Jacob, was there to capture the moment for us.
