Casper is home to world-class fishing. Bring your fishing pole and fish the North Platte River, Alcova Lake, or Pathfinder Lake.
The mountain is beautiful to drive around in the fall! There are also hiking trails if you choose! We personally love hiking the Bridle Trail that goes by Garden Creek Falls.
Pathfinder is very cool to drive to and fish!
Casper has a surprisingly good brewery scene. We have places such as Blacktooth Brewing, Backwards Distillery, Frontier Brewing, Gruner Brothers Brewing, and more.
Casper is home to a few really good museums. Casper College has Tate Geological Museum if you would like to see dinosaurs. We are on the path of the Oregon Trail, so if America's founding interests you, we have the National Historical Trails Interpretive Center, Fort Caspar, Independence Rock, and Devil's Pass all in town or nearby. We also have an art museum in downtown Casper called the Nicolaysen Art Museum.
Cottonwood Beach is home to fossils. Alcova is also just really pretty to camp or fish at.
If you are planning to explore Wyoming while you are here, stop by Saratoga, WY. It is a cute little town with natural hot springs!
If you are driving here, why not stop by our nation's first national park? Yellowstone is a must see if you are driving this way!
This is Jordan's personal favorite National Park. It is gorgeous!
