Þingvellir National Park

Founded in the year of 930 AD, this park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the location of the first Icelandic parliament (the oldest surviving parliament in the world!). The park is located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, making it a unique geological site and contains several important cultural landmarks, including the Þingvellir Church and the Öxarárfoss waterfall.

Geysir Hot Springs

The Geysir geothermal area is located in southwestern Iceland and is famous for its geysers, hot springs, and other geothermal features. It is home to the original geyser - "The Great Geysir", which is one of the oldest known geysers in the world and has been active for over 10,000 years. Although it is not as active as it once was, it still erupts occasionally, shooting boiling water up to 70 meters in the air. The area contains several other geysers, including the famous Strokkur which erupts every 5-10 minutes.

Known has the "Golden Waterfall", Gullfoss is one of Iceland's most famous waterfalls and is located on the Hvítá River. This two-tiered waterfall has a total height of 32 meters and is a must-see in Iceland.

Skógafoss Waterfall

Skógafoss is one of the country's most famous waterfalls and is located in the southern part of Iceland. The waterfall has a large amount of spray (pack the rain gear!), which often creates rainbows on sunny days. Skógafoss is also known for its connection to Icelandic folklore, as there is a legend that says a treasure is hidden behind the waterfall. We highly recommend adding this to your travel agenda!
