Before we met, and I knew you were the bees knees; I was dating a dope, with red skinny jeans and wasn’t near the person I wanted to be.
So I kicked him to the curb, weeks before my operation; Started working on me with much contemplation.
Surgery went well, as well as one would assume; Tho I spent the next three weeks held up in my room.
Not many came to visit, not even Mr. pantaloons; I wasn’t expecting much, but not even a balloon?
Trying to recover from both a break up and surgery; I needed a simple connection, someone to encourage me.
One day out of the blue; you messaged me, and history started to bloom.
Since then, with you by my side; I swear it’s true, everything feels right.
You were there for me during one of the most scary, exciting and life-changing times of my life; you were so amazingly supportive, I knew I found my Mr. Right.
Between simple nap time dates, and the Dairy Queen drive; you managed to give me butterflies.
You encouraged me to chase a new career; your love helped me to conquer and persevere.
I don’t want to beat a dead horse or drag these awful rhymes on; but I know in my heart our love for each other is equal and strong.
I hope this cheesy poem illustrates why; written words put onto lines; I feel so lucky to have you as my guy!
I write because I love you, it’s the most meaningful way I know; an old-fashioned way to tell you, what I think you ought to know. How much you really mean to me; I love you to infinity!
You’re the love of my life, I feel it to the bone; though our journey together has just begun, a day without you makes my heart groan.
