Travel to the UK

What are the passport requirements?

A passport is required for entry into the United Kingdom. Please ensure your passport is current and will not expire within 6 months of your trip. Visit the link below for more information.

Which airport should I fly into?

We recommend flying into Manchester, but Liverpool is also nearby. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Aer Lingus, Air France, Lufthansa, Icelandair, PLAY, American, Delta and United all provide flight options.

Do you have tips for finding an affordable airfare?

Apps are available to help you find the best deals such as Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Going.com. We recommend setting alerts on Google Flights to track prices, however, we do advise you purchase tickets as soon as you're able, as we don't anticipate prices to decrease in the coming months.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

There are several rooms blocked in Congleton for the week of our wedding. Please see the accommodations page on our site for the latest info.

Can Americans Rent Cars and Drive in the UK?

Yes, Americans can drive in the UK, but there are some important considerations and requirements. Most importantly: Be prepared for left-hand driving, as vehicles in the UK drive on the left side of the road. Familiarize yourself with UK road rules, and if you can't drive a manual transmission, ensure you specify your preference for an automatic when renting a car.

General Questions

I can’t attend the wedding in England. Will there be a stateside celebration?

Yes! We are exploring options for celebrating with friends and family in the US. More details coming soon!

What weather should I expect?

The U.K. experiences a temperate maritime climate with temperatures rarely exceeding 80 degrees F. Rain is a possibility, so you'll want to be prepared.

Do you have a registry?

Celebrating with you is the best gift we could ask for, and we very much appreciate you traveling to be with us on our special day! Rather than asking for gifts, if you feel so inclined, we’d love a contribution to help us pay for our dream wedding. Please see our Registry page for more info.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We'd love that! Use the hashtag #KindOfABigDillPickles ;)

Please note we will have an unplugged ceremony!

Leave the photography to the experts and enjoy the moment.

Any other time, selfies are fair game.

I have a question that I just can’t find the answer to, what is the best way to contact you?
