If you're coming into town for our wedding, first and foremost, we are SO excited! Thank you for making the trip! Below are a few things to do in Memphis and the surrounding area.

Shelby Farms is a public park located in Shelby County, in East Memphis. It is one of the largest urban parks in the US and the world, at a size of 4,500 acres and covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City with 843 acres. You can bike, run, walk, horseback ride, play laser tag and paintball, hike through the trails, play disc golf, and more!

The&nbsp;Memphis Zoo&nbsp;is a fun place to visit in Midtown, Memphis, TN. It is home to over 3,500 animals from more than 500 different species. The zoo opened in April 1906 and has been a big part of&nbsp;Overton Park&nbsp;for over 100 years. The zoo covers about 76 acres of land. It was ranked the #2 zoo in the US in 2024.

Memphis Zoo

Located in Downtown Memphis, the historic luxury hotel, The Peabody Memphis, is probably best known for the Peabody Ducks. The custom first started in the 1930s as a joke by the Peabody’s General Manager, but the mallard ducks grew so popular that they became a permanent fixture, and have even been featured on television and magazines. Each morning, visitors can watch as the ducks march across a red carpet to the hotel fountain before heading back to their rooftop “Royal Duck Palace."
