When They First Met

Brendan and Jordan first met at a house party in 2014. They stayed up all night on the couch talking and watching the show "New Girl" until they exchanged phone numbers as they parted ways.

Their First Date

What Brendan thought was their first date: Although Jordan had a boyfriend at the time, she nevertheless agreed to go to a Cardinals game with the very persistent Brendan — the first time they would hang out just the two of them. After the Cardinals game, they went to Duffy's for dinner. This was the first time Brendan's truck broke down... more on this later.

What Jordan thought was their first date: Once Jordan was officially single, she invited Brendan out to Mizzou for her last sorority social, where they wore tropical-themed outfits and Jordan first learned of Brendan's love for Busch Light. They started dating shortly after.

Always an Adventure

One day, Brendan was supposed to pick Jordan up for a date. Shortly after she got in the truck, it broke down (again) right down the road from her Kirkwood apartment... on "Monroe" Street. Realizing his truck still operated in the reverse, he subsequently backed up into a stranger's driveway. Now realizing he made a mistake, he told Jordan to "grab the wheel" as he got out to push the car from behind. Jordan had no idea what she was doing, but they somehow got the car out of that driveway. Needless to say, it was always an adventure when they were together.

The Big Move

Jordan went over to Brendan's house one day to find a duplicate house key on the coffee table... that was Brendan's subtle way of asking her to move in. Jordan happily left her apartment in Shrewsbury to move into their South City home in June of 2020.

When They Got a Dog

A few months after Jordan moved in, they welcomed a 10 pound mutt named Willie into their home. Jordan and Brendan passed the difficult test of raising a puppy, and they now live happily together as a family of three (even though Willie still has lots of training to do...).

The Engagement

On Jordan's 30th birthday, Brendan came home from work with flowers in his hand and a big smile on his face. While Jordan was getting ready for their dinner reservations at Edera in Central West End, Brendan (who is usually the last one out the door) was waiting on the front porch. Jordan walked outside in her red dress, locked the door, and turned around to Brendan down on one knee. Although Jordan may have said "thank you" before saying "yes," they were finally engaged! And the rest, as they say, is history.
