Jordan and Gannon have known each other since high school through marching band and mutual friends. But it was Golden Bowl that really brought them together. After many slow Sundays spent talking more than working and many nights folding crab rangoons, sparks began to fly. Gannon asked Jordan out to a brunch date at First Watch where they talked for hours...and the rest is history!

May 3rd 2023 was just another day…or so Jordan thought. Gannon planned a picnic for the two of them at Hitchcock Nature Center in Iowa. He told Jordan to dress cute so they could take photos and Jordan’s immediate thought was “Great, I needed some Instagram content.” Upon arrival, Gannon assured Jordan it would be just a short walk to the picnic spot. A good 20 minutes and a very annoyed Jordan later, they arrived at the end of a trail which overlooked a cornfield (how romantic and very Nebraskan of them).

Gannon handed Jordan a small wrapped box, to which she responded, “That better not be a bleeping ring,” and a library card that said “Will you marry me” at the top with a cute little note that Jordan did not read. Gannon got down on one knee and recited the whole speech he prepared, which Jordan did not remember a single word of. But she immediately said yes, the easiest yes of her life!

They are so excited to celebrate this special day with all those they love!
