What many people don’t know is that Vince & I met our freshman/sophomore years of high school. We both were playing in a summer basketball tournament in my hometown. I had watched Vince’s team and Vince, of course, caught my eye. I *made* my friend, Sarah, go get his number for me (as high school girls often do). I did not know this at the time, but not only did Sarah accomplish this task, she did so in a way that she interrupted the team huddle & earned Vince the title of “ladies man” for the rest of his high school career.
Vince and I did not date until wayyyy later in life. We did, however, remain in each others’ lives throughout the years. Whether we were going to the movies in high school, seeing him at IUP in college, running into each other at concerts, or exploring Pittsburgh as young adults, we somehow managed to stay relevant to each other in a friendship capacity for 13 years.
Vince *finally* managed to capture my heart as I decided to attend a wedding (one of the ten weddings he had that summer - we all know that if 27 Dresses could be a movie about a groomsman, it would be Vince) with him as his date on a total whim. Little did we know exactly how much that event would change the course of our entire lives.
Despite the logistics, I convinced Vince that Texas was better than Pennsylvania and the rest is history. We have been inseparable since and never looked back. After consulting with Piper, we agreed to allow Vince to be a part of our pack forever. When we aren’t busy flying all over the country, we love spending time in Austin, where Vince proposed, and are having fun planning our wedding in Tampa.
