On May 3, 2024, in his hometown of Yucca Valley, Samuel decided to download a dating app with the hope of finding a best friend to love and serve the Lord with forever. That same evening, just 50 miles away in Redlands, Jordyn made the same decision. Less than 24 hours later, the two were on a phone call—joined by Josiah, Jordyn’s brother-in-law. During their first conversation, they discovered a surprising connection: Sam and Josiah had been great friends in the Marines. This led to a three-way call where Josiah unashamedly told Jordyn, “Don’t mess this up—Sam is a good one!” (Though Sam insists that Jordyn should add he believes she is the real catch here). Fast forward three and a half months of Sam and Jordyn being inseparable, and Sam proposed. Jordyn, of course, said yes—because she quickly realized that Josiah was absolutely right about Sam being “a good one” (though she did make sure to remind him that he was supposed to say that to Sam, not her). Along the way, we have experienced God’s goodness in countless ways, from answered prayers to the joy of discovering His perfect timing in bringing us together. As we prepare for marriage, we are filled with gratitude and anticipation, knowing that God’s faithfulness will continue to guide and sustain us. Our hope and prayer is that our union will reflect His love and bring glory to Him as we serve His kingdom together.

ROADTRIP TIMELINE FROM SOCAL TO CEDAR CITY, UTAH Cedar City is approximately a 6-hour drive (not accounting for stops along the way) from Redlands, California. Here’s a travel timeline to help you plan your journey: First 3 Hours:The first leg of the trip features a lot of desert scenery.• 1 hour 50 minutes in: You’ll find EddieWorld, a massive gas station with plenty of treats like ice cream, candy, chocolates, beef jerky, burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and more.• 2.5 hours in: Welcome to Baker, California. This is a great place to stop for gas or stretch your legs. Highlights include: Alien Fresh Jerky for a unique road stop and The Chevron at 72922 Baker Blvd, which is much more than a gas station—it features Yogurtland, Cinnabon, Pizza Hut, KFC, Fatburger, and Coffee Bean all in one spot! Hours 3–4.5:• 3 hours 45 minutes in: You’ll reach Las Vegas, Nevada! Take your pick of dining, shopping, gas stations, or just soak in the lively energy of the Strip before heading back on the road.• 4.5 hours in: Just past Las Vegas, you’ll find Terrible’s Gas Station (Exit 91). This is a clean and convenient stop for gas, snacks, and a bathroom break. Hours 5–6:• 5 hours in: You’ll arrive in St. George, Utah. This charming city means you’re almost there! You’ve made it—time to relax and enjoy the festivities.
