Why a destination wedding?
We have chosen a destination wedding so we can celebrate an entire week, instead of a single day. Jordyn has always dreamed of a wedding on the beach by the ocean. We are excited for the opportunity to have our wedding, honeymoon and a family vacation all at once. Hope you can join!
What if I cannot make the trip?
The bride and groom understand not everyone will be able to make the trip.
When and where is the wedding?
The wedding ceremony will take place on 11/11/24 at 4:00pm at the breathtaking all-inclusive resort, Secrets Maroma Beach. The reception will take place at the pool gazebo terrace from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
When should I book?
Book early to reserve your room which requires a deposit. Travel insurance will also need to be paid at time of booking. Booking at least 6 months in advance is recommended to ensure flights and room availability. Please call Raelynn for specifics!
How much will this cost?
Our travel agent has estimated a cost of around $3,000 per person to include room (double occupancy), flights, and transfers. This is for 7 nights stay at the all inclusive resort in a tropical view room. Only an estimate is given as it will depend on different variables such as when you book, room category, and where you fly out of.
How do I book my trip?
Contact our travel agent, Raelynn Peterson, at 406-829-5507.
Can I stay longer or shorter than the wedding party?
Yes! Just communicate your travel plans to Raelynn, our travel agent, and she will assist you! Please note the estimated cost is based on 7 nights stay.
Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?
Yes, a valid passport is required to enter Mexico by air. Current processing times for a new passport is 6-8 weeks so plan accordingly! Very important for current passport holders: passports
must be valid for at least 6 months at time of trip. This means if your passport expires in 5 months 28 days, you will not be permitted to enter Mexico!!
What if I want a room with a pool or ocean view?
Please let the travel agent know your preference for type of room but ocean view and rooms with private pools are more expensive. Save your money for the excursions or spa treatments!
What does all-inclusive mean?
All food, top shelf liquor, and entertainment are included....its amazing! Tips are not included and always optional. Excursions off resort and spa treatments are not included.
Are children allowed?
No, we have selected an adult only all inclusive resort. No one under the age of 18 is permitted at this resort.
What is the dress code for the resort?
Pack a bathing suit or three! Otherwise, pack summer attire including casual resort wear: swimsuit coverups, jeans, shorts, t-shirt, tank tops, tennis shoes, sandals, or flip flops. Resort evening wear is required to enjoy dinner in the formal restaurants such as pants, polos, button up shirts, and dresses. T-shirts, flip-flops, sleeveless shirts, and shorts are not typically acceptable in the more formal eating venues. Don't forget your sunglasses, SPF and hats!
Should I bring a gift?
No gifts necessary. Making the trip is a gift in itself!
What should I wear to the wedding?
The exchange of vows will take place on the beach. Be sure to dress light and breezy since the air will be warm and humid. For the ladies, sundress or capris with sandals is ideal. For the men, khaki shorts or slacks with linen shirts will work great. Tan or pale pink is the chosen color palette!
Is there a wedding registry?
Celebrating our big day with you is the only gift we need. However, for friends and family that have inquired, we've set up a cash fund to help pay for a down payment on our first home. We thank you in advance for any contribution made for this next milestone as a couple.
Why was Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun selected for the destination wedding?
This award winning all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico lies along the Yucatan Peninsula, set on 500 acres of one of the most pristine beaches in all of Mexico. While the resort has endless amenities, it was the pure white sand and crystal clear water that made this resort rise to the top.
