Jordyn and Ian met when they were 14/15 years old in 2011 at a fall beach retreat weekend hosted by their church. They instantly bonded over their love of music, and of the beach -as they both grew up going to the coast with their families every summer. They spent the rest of that beach weekend becoming close friends. They parted ways after the weekend was over, going back to Raleigh and Rocky Mount respectively, but wanted to stay close throughout high school, Skyping and texting when they could.

Years passed, and they fell out of touch. That was until they happened to run into each other on Jordyn's college campus at East Carolina University. And then ran into each other again a few months later, and then again, and again, in some surprising and unexpected places. This is when Ian knew there was something special going on, and wanted to try to be together, even after all of the time apart.

It only took 8 years, but the two had their first date in the Fall of 2019 where they went to the movies, and Ian took Jordyn to try Hawaiian pizza for the first time. She was a both a fan of the pizza, and the date, and the rest is history.

After 4 years of dating, Ian proposed to Jordyn on the beach, right back where they first met all those years before. They knew Wilmington, a town on the coast, needed to be the back drop for their wedding day.
