Through weekly youth group events along with yearly mission trips in middle school and high school, Kyle & Jordyn spent a lot of time together and quickly became friends into high school.

Fast forward to college, as Jordyn and Kyle both attended Miami University. In September of 2018, Kyle asked Jordyn to go to the local Italian restaurant and after their date, Kyle asked Jordyn to be his girlfriend and she said "sure" with much excitement! College was filled with so many memories spent together.

Long distance began as Kyle graduated in 2019 with facetime calls and weekend travel becoming their new normal. They always found time to travel with one another during breaks with visiting Colorado in January 2020, Acadia National Park in June 2021, and Lake Tahoe in June 2023.

When planning their travels for summer 2023, they chose Lake Tahoe which had always been on each other's bucket list. They arrived in Lake Tahoe after a long travel day and quickly started exploring the town. On Friday June 9th, they planned to go out to eat, but had to change the restaurant location last minute, little did Jordyn know that this was where Kyle planned to propose. After finishing dinner quicker than expected at the new restaurant, he had to quickly pivot again and found a local beach. After walking on the beach at sunset, Kyle popped the question and Jordyn said yes! It was the biggest surprise.
