After matching on Hinge we planned a picnic date at the Gathering Place in Tulsa, OK on October 10, 2020. What began as a casual lunch date swiftly transformed into a six-hour rendezvous. We enjoyed each other's company so much that Jared didn’t even mind missing the quadruple overtime Texas VS. OU football game. We spent that time telling stories and sharing laughs. Amidst our conversation, an undercover photographer enlisted our help in capturing the perfect shot of an engagement nearby. It was a perfect first date and a week later Jared asked Jordyn to be his girlfriend to which she said no. We continued to get to know each other and a month later made it official!

The last three years have been a time of growth and change. Jordyn graduated college, completed her masters program, and got into medical school. Jared changed career paths and is pursuing a masters degree. We've renovated our house and adopted a cat named George.

At the Gathering Place, where it all began, Jared asked Jordyn to marry him.

She said yes!
