They met because of COVID. At the time, Rebecca was taking classes at Indiana University of Pennsylvania to finish up her bachelors. She came home for spring break and that's when everything began to shut down. Campus closed until Fall 2020, her old job closed completely, so she found herself working at Snyder's of Hanover. It was flexible and had a summer position available which was perfect for her schedule since she would be returning to school in the fall. Or so she thought. Once July hit, she received notification that campus would not be reopening in the fall and everything would be done online. Therefore instead of quitting her job she switched departments and that's where she met Jose. Jose worked 3rd shift 11p-7a in the Sanitation Department for about 3yrs. Becca was new to the department and was treated by most of the guys as a pretty girl, who didn't know what she was doing, but Jose treated her differently. He let her vent when she needed to and really showed her the ropes. She fell in love with his personality more than anything. Boy could he make her laugh... and still can.

They were both just getting out of bad relationships and were hesitant about jumping right into another one. But, one day she just went for it and asked him if he liked her, he paused at first and said yes and later on that month she asked him to take break together, so they could talk. They walked out to Jose's car started to have a conversation as they normally would and at the same moment they both kissed each other. It was so natural and perfect in its own blissful way. After that they were inseparable.

They had their first breakfast date at the Lincoln Diner then later on that month their first date night at C&D Grill where they shared wings as an appetizer. Shortly after they moved in together and have been together ever since. They took their first major vacation to Orlando, FL which was the first time they ever went canoeing.
