Jose and Glorianna's journey together began when their paths crossed at ETSU's Conservative Coalition. As time passed, their friendship gradually evolved into something more. When the world shut down for the pandemic, they found themselves breaking quarantine to keep each other company. Early that summer of 2020, Glorianna found out she was moving to the Washington D.C. area, and Jose had to act fast to keep her in his life. He wanted to be more than friends, but she was resigned to the idea of a long-distance romance. In a bold move, Jose told her he would secure a job near the nation's capital, and they decided to start dating. Only two weeks after her departure, Jose moved near her.

In the hustle and bustle of D.C., they navigated life's challenges together and learned to depend on each other's presence. The following year, destiny intervened once more and gently guided them both back to Tennessee.

After three and a half years of dating, Jose's family went on a trip to Florida and invited Glorianna with them. Taking a moment to themselves on a sun-kissed beach, the couple gazed out at a sailboat serenely floating on the ocean. It was then that Jose tenderly asked Glorianna to be his partner for life.
