Their journey began sophomore year of college at St. John’s University, where fate brought them together on the Staten Island Campus. It was during that semester that they found themselves in not one, but two classes together. As Dominique would eagerly arrive early for each class, little did she know that Joe would consistently choose the seat next to hers.  What started as mere “coincidence” soon blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Joe never missed an opportunity to impress Dominique by outsmarting the professors— so much in fact that she often called Joe for homework help or rather an excuse to spark up a conversation. The feelings seemed mutual when Joe found himself frequently calling or texting Dominique even to ask the silliest of questions such as where to buy fish food near campus.  As the semesters flew by, their bond grew stronger, and by senior year, they both knew there was something special between them. It was then that their friendship evolved into something more.  On January 29, 2017, Joe worked up the courage to ask Dominique to attend a “Elvis Presley” concert with him and his parents at the St. George Theater. (If you know Joe you know he LOVES Elvis so this was a big deal to him). After a night of singing and dancing Joe asked Dominique to be his girlfriend.

Since college, the two have spent the last 7 years making the most out of everyday together. They have been by each other’s sides while achieving goals—graduating law school and starting a small business (LST). No matter how busy their lives have gotten, they always make time for each other. They enjoy blasting country music while they travel together to visit new places. Their next stop is Italy for their honeymoon! The couple also loves taking part in shared hobbies such as horseback riding, thrifting, hiking, and of course wine tasting! In fact, it was while they were out on one of their explorations that they came across Brotherhood winery and knew right then and there that this is the place they want to say “I do”.

Meet Vanessa, also known as Banessa. (The “B” is for bad bitch) She is the bride’s younger sister and maid of honor! She is the most ICONIC one in the room. If it’s quiet it’s probably because she’s late…she’s not around for a long time, but for a good time! She’s most known for captivating the dance floor with a pair of ROYGBIV boutique shades and throwing back them tequila shots! #BeLikeBanessa

Meet Nicole, she is the bride's BEST friend and co-Maid of Honor. She is most known for her contagious energy, witty remarks, and her middle child syndrome. If you are looking for her, she is most likely on the dance floor dropping her drinks or in the corner booking a flight to her next destination!

Ken’s most notable achievement to date is a second-place finish in his elementary school spelling bee. He finished well behind the eventual winner, Joe Carlo. He still has not found his lizard from high school that escaped from its cage.

Siena has loved Dominique since she was 9 months old. Because of their special bond she was a shoo in for flower girl! Siena spends her free time vegging out at home watching movies, playing with her toys and eating snacks. She’s nervous about her wedding responsibilities but excited to eat the cake!

Kelsey met Dominique when she was born over 4 years ago. Kelsey enjoys playing with play-doh, painting, and being obsessed with all things Elsa. When she grows up, she wants to be a princess & live in a castle. All of her princess practice will payoff when she walks down the aisle as flower girl.

My name is Liam and I am the most important person of the night! Well that is because, you see I hold the most important task… ring duty! I met my Aunt Dom the first day I was born when she came to visit me in the hospital and she has been spoiling me ever since! Things you should know about me: I love cars, Miss Rachel, and long walks in my carriage. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle next June and watch my Aunt Dom and Uncle Joe get married!

Frank is renowned for his philanthropic endeavors and admiration of the fine arts. When he is not busy feeding ham sandwiches to the needy, he can be found tending to his garden and spending time with loved ones. He spent many years at a Buddhist monastery in Bhutan preparing for his officiating duties.

Oldest sister of the groom/Dom’s future sis-in-law. She loves country music, her chihuahua, and a good book. One of her favorite family traditions is their Sunday dinners together and competitive sibling game nights. P.s. She is most likely to cry her makeup off the entire wedding day!

Dominick is the "Joey Chestnut of desserts". He loves a good beer and marrying Joe’s sister Jessica...he might need a few.

Dominique’s Sister-In-Law! She enjoys curling up with a good book, watching a true crime documentary, and spending time with family. When her head isn’t in a book, you will find her in the kitchen cooking up a storm! 

Gabrielle

Known in the gaming world as FeliceTheAce and in the real world as Dom’s older brother. Ant and Dom were roommates until Joe finally took her off his hands. Thank God! Spends his time stealing golf balls from courses across NJ and sitting on fishing piers with Joe waiting for the next big catch. (Anthony and Joe have caught a fish once in about 35 fishing trips.)

Meet Christina, the youngest of the Carlo family and the most fun. She’s always down for a good time and tequila shots. Has a better chance of saving your life than having a date to the wedding. Has been described as “Joe with a wig on”.

Rob has some of the slickest hair one will ever see. Wind, rain, or hail, that product doesn’t fail. His golf game has somehow gotten worse after playing for 8 years.

Hi I’m Jeanine, I first met Dominique when we were just 12 years old we attended open gym at Victory gymnastics and we have been best friends ever since! We always had fun growing up making videos, having sleepovers, and running around Annandale town. Now we’re all grown up and my son Liam is so lucky to have Aunt Dom to spoil him! I can’t wait to be sipping on some good white wine at the wedding and dancing to when love takes over with the new Mr. and Mrs. Carlo!

Hi everyone, my name is Matt! I’ve known Dom since I was three years old, and I’ve known Joe long enough to live thru his many nicknames of: Paste, Bags, and now Joey Pastrami. We met in college, and I’ve been lucky enough to call him one of my best friends ever since. After all, he’s the only other person I know that also enjoys a fresh 7/11 pizza. I’m excited for a fun night celebrating the married couple, and I’m setting the over/under at 5.5 for how many times Joe hits the “Peace up A town” signature dance move. - Mat Teuleeshki

Meet Jane! Crazy cat lady who likes to cook and bake and unfortunately can’t party hardy like she used to due to missing 2/3s of her colon, but will dance her shoes off at the wedding! PS: She will also break your ankles at pickleball—meet her at the courts, but don’t step into her kitchen!

Meet Gabby! She’s the bride’s sister from another mister who loves Jesus, good music, and Celsius. If you’ve ever been to a party for Dominique you can find Gabby leading a conga line or banging cooking utensils to a good beat. The party won’t stop with Gabby around!

Corey, known to many women as “Cman,” is somehow a licensed pharmacist in the state of NY. He once advised Joe that peanut butter would cure his stye.

I'm Erica, the self-proclaimed black sheep of the family and proud cousin-next-door/honorary sister to our beautiful bride! You'll often find me channeling my inner spiritual woo-woo, foraging for botanical treasures and concocting potions (okay... recipes) for my family guinea pigs, much to their bewilderment. Makeup artist by day.. mysterious, mystical, moon-howling singer casting spells between verses and mojitos by night.

Meet Chris! Chris has been the recipient of the Staten Island’s Most Handsome Teacher Award for 3 consecutive years. He is an avid Rock Band player and loves a nice glass of warm milk.

Room blocks will be available starting July 15, 2024. There will be a select amount of rooms available for both Friday and Saturday depending on when you plan on arriving. Shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to and from the wedding. The hotel offers hot breakfast in the morning. Last day to secure reservations as part of the Arnone Carlo Wedding room block will be May 27, 2025

Transportation will be provided via shuttle service by West Point Tours Trailways. The coach buses will pick up guests staying at The Residence Inn and return guests to the hotel following the reception. Please note: All coach buses have air conditioning & a bathroom on board. Guests taking the shuttles will arrive at Brotherhood by 5:05PM & the ceremony will start promptly at 5:30PM.

John Jaques, a cobbler by trade, began growing native grapes in the backyard of his Washingtonville, NY store as early as 1824. By 1835, he had established a large vineyard, selling his grapes in the New York City market. As prices dropped, Jaques turned instead toward making wine, releasing his first commercial vintage in 1839, under the label “Blooming Grove Winery.”As an elder in his Washingtonville Presbyterian Church, Jaques initially produced wine for sacramental use, but from the first vintage the wine quickly developed a reputation for purity, “free of alcoholic adulterations.” These qualities brought Jaques’ wines into great prominence.In 1858, Jaques passed the operation on to his three sons, John Jr., Oren and Charles. First renamed “John Jaques Jr. &amp; Brothers,” and then “Jaques Brothers Winery,” the three brothers expanded the vineyards and increased production to 15 different styles of wine, keeping roughly 35,000 gallons of wine, port and brandy in storage in their hand-dug underground cellars.The Jaques Brothers Winery continued to prosper until, in 1886, ill health forced Charles Jaques, the last surviving Jaques brother, to sell the entire winery and vineyards to New York City wine merchants J. M. Emerson &amp; Son.

ORIGINS: The Jaques Family • 1839 – 1886

Wine merchants Jesse M. Emerson and son Edward purchased the Jaques Brothers Winery in 1886.&nbsp;As previous agents for the upstate religious community known as the “Brotherhood of New Life,” the Emersons renamed the new facility the “Brotherhood Wine Company” to capitalize on the success of the Brotherhood brand name and reputation.The Emersons quickly expanded the winery, adding several stone buildings and additional underground vaults to accommodate increased production of table wines, brandies and sherries, and distilled spirits.&nbsp;Their focus on champagnes, made in the traditional French style known as&nbsp;methodé champenoise-fermented in the bottle-brought increased attention and exposure to Brotherhood wines.&nbsp;Edward R. Emerson broadened the business by establishing a shipping point and headquarters in New York City, and obtaining vineyards and wine cellars in Hammondsport, NY.With its modern facilities and continued commitment to quality, Brotherhood’s sales increased exponentially well into the 20th century. Even with the rise of the Temperance Movement, the Brotherhood Wine Company continued to prosper, until Prohibition was enacted in 1920.

INNOVATION & EXPANSION: The Emerson Years          • 1886–1920

After the enactment of Prohibition, on January 17, 1920, Edward Emerson and new partner Louis L. Farrell reorganized as “The Brotherhood Corporation.”&nbsp;They began producing medicinal and sacramental wines, as allowed by law.&nbsp;Brotherhood was able to maintain production with its own vines in Washingtonville, and by acquiring another vineyard in California’s prestigious Livermore Valley.&nbsp;Regular tank car shipments of wine from the west coast also ensured a regular supply of wine to keep up with demand.After Emerson’s death in December 1924, Brotherhood continued to prosper under the able direction of co-owner Louis L. Farrell.&nbsp;However, production was drastically reduced as the nation entered the difficult economic years of the Great Depression.With repeal of Prohibition on December 5, 1933, Brotherhood released its stock of 1915 champagne-nearly 500,000 bottles which had been cellared during Prohibition.&nbsp;As renewed production began on table and sparkling wines, Brotherhood concentrated on several varieties of sherries and aperitifs throughout World War II, despite diminishing consumer preferences for wine.Louis Farrell Sr. died in 1947, leaving the winery to his son “Junior,” who died tragically three months later.

PROHIBITION & RECOVERY: The Louis L. Farrell Years • 1920–1947

In 1947, Brotherhood Winery officially passed on to one of Louis Farrell Jr.’s cousins, Francis L. Farrell, who would lead the winery into the prosperous post-WWII era.Francis and his wife Eloise transitioned Brotherhood from a winemaking facility into a tourist destination, establishing the concept of “wine tourism.”&nbsp;Beginning in the 1960s, after decades of changing consumer tastes and declining wine sales, Brotherhood was rebranded as&nbsp;“America’s Oldest Winery,”&nbsp;and began offering free wine tastings and tours.The Farrells organized themed parties and regular weekly events that drew hundreds of thousands to the winery annually, introducing the Brotherhood brand to generations of American drinkers.&nbsp;Brotherhood continued to produce table and sparkling wines, all of which were sold on the premises. A diverse selection was offered, from both traditional native grapes as well as the newly-popular French-American hybrids.&nbsp;As word spread of the tastings and parties taking place in the historic winery with its century-old underground vaults, Brotherhood Winery quickly became a major tourist attraction in the Hudson Valley and New York State.The party atmosphere continued until the 1980s, when a crippling recession, record high interest rates, and ever-changing consumer tastes affected tourism and wine sales, and Brotherhood was forced to reduce production.

TOURISM & AMERICA’S OLDEST WINERY:  The Farrell Family • 1947–1987

In 1987, a partnership of local businessmen purchased Brotherhood Winery, including winemaker Cesar Baeza, with two goals: restore its reputation as a prime tourist destination in the Hudson Valley, and increase production with a new line of premium wines.&nbsp;Internationally known as a wine master, Baeza set about creating premium wines from single vinifera varietals, including Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Riesling.Retaining the old favorites were important to Brotherhood’s legacy, as production continued on older specialties such as Holiday Spiced Wine, Rosario, May Wine, Cream Sherry, and Port. Brotherhood also revived the line of&nbsp;methodé champenoise-style champagne, releasing their Grand Monarque Cuvee in 1990.In its efforts to become a premier New York State destination, Brotherhood Winery also focused on tourism and hospitality. The winery revived some of its grand, legendary parties, and created new events, including daily historical tours.On January 7, 1999, a devastating fire at Brotherhood nearly destroyed the winery’s historic buildings.&nbsp;Fortunately, the winemaking and storage facilities, as well as the underground vaults, were not harmed.&nbsp;Sales continued, and rebuilding began immediately.In 2000, Brotherhood Winery was designated an historic landmark, and added to the New York State and National registers of historic places.

PREMIUM WINE DEVELOPMENT 1987–2005

The disastrous 1999 fire, which damaged several historic buildings, slowed Brotherhood’s expansion for several years. In 2005, a new partnership was formed between Cesar Baeza and the families of Luis Chadwick and Pablo Castro, who have deep roots in the famous winegrowing region of Maule Valley in Chile.The new Board of Directors, led by Chairman Luis Chadwick, and a new management team immediately embarked on a massive restoration and renovation program at Brotherhood Winery.&nbsp;The partnership also reinvigorated an interest in producing quality wines keeping the winery at the forefront of the New York wine industry.This included equipment upgrades, increased tanked capacity, planting of new vines, a new warehouse, and renovation of all facilities, including the catering hall, sales room, gift shop, mansion, and the installation of an 80kW solar array on the roof of the winery’s production facility.The establishment of a new restaurant and the restoration of the Grand Monarque Hall as a 6,000 square foot catering facility were designed to accommodate a wide variety of events and gatherings.The partners’ commitment to improving one of the Hudson Valley’s premiere wineries, and their dedication to the production of a new line of award-winning premium wines, is building Brotherhood Winery’s reputation far beyond the American wine market.
