I first met Joseph at the most unlikely place to meet anyone…David’s house. Talk about fate. I got onto my stepfather, David, for weeks about getting his rotted, wood porch fixed. One afternoon, I came back to a handsome, youngish man ripping up that old deck. I immediately knew I was in trouble when he smiled. As I headed to the beach, after bringing him water and chatting with him, he said “I wish I could go to the beach with you.” I whipped around and said, “You can join me when you are finished working.” Well, he didn’t finish. Joseph was at the beach, with me, 10 minutes later. He dragged that job out another two days so he could work up the courage to ask me out. The rest is our love story.
