Cocktail attire: We suggest men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.
Is the reception at a different location from the ceremony?
Enotah Valley Event Center is hosting both our ceremony and our reception! The reception hall is a very short walk away from the ceremony site.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony is outdoors, but the cocktail hour and reception are indoors. If the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to an indoor location at the same venue.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one or my children?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the individuals named on the invitation.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
For our ceremony, we're asking guests to refrain from taking photos. We have a wonderful photographer who will be taking pictures throughout, and we will be happy to share the professional pictures with all guests. You're welcome to take photos during the reception!
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
We ask that you hold off on posting photos until we've had a chance to share a few of our own! After we have shared our initial post, please feel free to post your pictures and tag us so we can see them as well.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrée. We will have Italian for dinner with a meat and vegan option available!
Are there any cultural traditions or best practices guests should be aware of?
During our wedding, we will be participating in several traditions to honor both Joseph and Mary’s cultural and religious backgrounds. Men will be offered to wear a yamaka during the ceremony, which will be provided before the start of the ceremony. Non-Jewish male guests are welcome to wear one, but it is optional. We will also participate in the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass. It's customary to shout "Mazel Tov!" (meaning congratulations) after this happens. Traditional prayers will be held during the ceremony and reception.
Is there an open bar?
We will be serving wine and beer, but no hard liquor is allowed on site. Please be respectful of the venue’s policy. It is encouraged to tip your bartenders!
