Joe met Erin during their freshman year at Rutgers University through a mutual friend. From the first time Joe saw Erin, he thought she was incredibly beautiful and extremely smart (she also knew how to talk about sports which was a huge plus!).

From that first meeting and throughout the years, Joe and Erin remained friends. Even when they lived in different cities and were up to different things, they still kept in contact.

In September 2020, Joe had dinner with Erin in Morristown and knew that he had to finally ask her out on a date. He summed up the courage to ask...but she said no. A few weeks later, though, Erin reached out with a text asking if Joe still wanted to go on that date. Although Joe wanted to send a funny text back, he decided the funny text could wait. They had their first date at Revolution in Morristown.

From that first date, there was a second and a third, and soon they both realized that they cared about each other on a much deeper level. Erin moved to Hoboken and Joe also moved to Hoboken (really a crazy coincidence). The relationship continued.

In September 2023, Joe knew he wanted to propose to Erin. He devised a scheme to propose at Rutgers under the guise of "going to the art museum". Joe thought he was being really slick but choosing to go to an art museum during football season (and especially during the Chiefs game) was a bit of a give away.

Erin happily accepted his proposal on September 17, 2023. Joe and Erin are now thrilled to embark on this new chapter together, eagerly anticipating a lifetime of love and happiness.
