Ingrid and Joe met on a Christian dating app in July 2022. Shoutout to Upward!

Ingrid was heading into her final semester of undergraduate at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania,

and Joe was in the midst of running a statewide political campaign across Minnesota. Shared values and a keen mutual interest in travel provided much interstate dialogue, and in October they began dating.

A year of adventure, growth and budding, boundless love followed!

Ingrid was accepted into some of the most selective Physician Assistant programs across the country, and ultimately decided on St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. While awaiting her enrollment, Joe and Ingrid embarked on a 9 week roadtrip across the Western United States. It was here that Joe's desire for endless adventure and Ingrid's rule following nature were both tested, but ultimately a happy middle ground was met.

From this early moment in their relationship, Joe was convinced this reserved, bashful, and borderline Jersey girl was the one for him.

Another year of dating followed, with 2023 being a monumental year for both. Ingrid moved to Minnesota, began P.A. school, and accepted Joe's rapid hair loss. Joe managed a portion of the Harris/Walz 2024 Presidential campaign in Georgia and North Carolina, decided to leave politics after the election for the field of education, and asked Ingrid to marry him.

Standing in a partially frozen lake in Northern Minnesota, Ingrid said yes, and made Joe the happiest he's ever been.

The couple is so excited to commit ourselves in front of God, family and friends and look forward to continuing this story told here for many years to come.
