Spring of 2021

Joseph and I met at a gathering during the spring of 2021 where we had mutual friends. I (Dalia) overheard him talking to someone about how he had worked in social work in Seattle. That instantly caught my attention because I have been going to school to get my AAS in Human Services. After that, I remember wanting to ask him all the questions about what he did and how he liked it. That's initially how we met.

I asked him if he wanted to go to a mutual friends' wedding. My coworker was getting married to his coworker, and I asked her to text him about asking Joseph. Eventually, he gave me his number. We started going hiking prior to going to the wedding and connected so well. We started hanging out all the time, enjoying the sweetness of summer and growing closer and closer. Shortly thereafter, we decided we wanted to love each other forever and make a lifetime commitment.

I (Joe) had a gut feeling that I might want to marry her around the time that I asked Dalia if we were exclusive and wanted to define our relationship. That sense of affection, peace, and bond has turned into a commitment. It is so good to have a friend and companion for life, and we look forward to celebrating our commitment to each other with you. It truly is a gift from God to love one another.

Blessings to you all and we hope to see you soon.
