Q + A

How do we RSVP?

1. Once you've reached a couple's wedding website, click the RSVP tab to RSVP. 2. Search for your full name in the search box to find your invitation. 3. After selecting your RSVP, you'll be given the option to add additional guests or proceed immediately. (Etiquette tip: Don't add guests without permission from the couple. Check your wedding invitation envelope to see the list of all invited guests. Only guests named on the invitation are invited.) 4. On the next page, you will be able to submit your RSVP response and accept or decline the invitation. 5. You will then be given the option to leave a note for the couple after submitting your response.

When should we RSVP by?

Although we are allowing until October 31st, 2024 to RSVP, we kindly request that you and your party RSVP before July 31st, 2024 as the couple will both be beginning their rigorous medical residencies by then and will have limited time to plan and accommodate after beginning. Our goal is to have an accurate headcount before beginning residency so we may complete our planning and reservations for everyone's best comfort!

Where can we send our wedding gift?

Although we very much appreciate the gesture, we will not have a wedding registry and implore no gifts from our guests! We will however have an online Honeymoon Fund and a letter box at the entrance of the venue to accept any assistance in paying off our student debts...*cough, cough*... I mean and our honeymoon too of course!

Where can we fly in to? How do we get to the venue?

We recommend flying into Orlando International Airport - MCO (about 1hr driving distance to venue) or Tampa International Airport - TPA (about 2hr driving distance to venue). We recommend renting a car the airport of your choice, but Uber or Lyft are also options and are priced at about $50-$100 per trip. We also recommend coordinating with others to carpool and reduce expenses!

Where can we stay (e.g. hotels, AirBnBs, etc.)?

There are several hotels in Tavares, FL, but we have been assured that the Citrus Boutique Hotel (2min drive, 8min walk from venue) and the Comfort Inn & Suites Tavares North (7min drive, 45min walk from venue) are the most convenient and comfortable options. You may also wish to consider some of the AirBnB or Vrbo options in the area; for this, you could look up options in Tavares or Mount Dora which are both within driving distance to the venue.

Where can we park?

Although there is no parking at the venue itself, there is ample street parking all along Main Street, several parking lots surrounding the venue, and a large parking garage all within 10min walking distance. We recommend arriving to the venue, then traveling west along Main Street for street parking, or directing your GPS to "Tavares Parking Garage" where you may park and walk 10min to the venue. Please let us know if you are unable to walk the distance and we can make accomodations!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Only the cocktail hour will be outdoors on the Tavares Pavilion, and we are expecting temperate climates between 50 and 80 degrees F. In the case of rain, cocktail hour will be relocated indoors.

What is the dress code?

Formal Western or Formal South Asian attire is highly encouraged! Formal Western implies suits and tuxedos for men and formal evening wear for women. Formal South Asian implies formal Pakistani or Indian evening wear to include sherwani and/or kurta shalwar for men; lehengas, sharara, anarkali and/or sarees for women. Please reach out to either of us if you would like additional help finding or picking out an outfit!

Can I bring anyone else (e.g. plus one, significant other, children)?

If you know us well, you know we LOVE people and believe in inclusivity, however we ask very kindly that you understand we are very limited with how many of our loved ones can attend, and therefore must respectfully decline entry to any persons not explicitly named on your invitation (including children or significant others).

Will food be served at your wedding? What kind?

Yes! Our Peruvian, Pakistani, and American cultures revere food and will therefore have a mix of all cuisines. A variety of hors d'oeuvres will be served during the cocktail hour and buffet style food with about 3-5 entree options will be served for the reception.

Will there be an open bar?

Yep. Have at it! We insist! Really... Go for it.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

The reception is scheduled to end at 10:30pm after the couple send-off. Afterwards, we will continue celebrating a bit longer by visiting some of the nearby bars in Downtown Tavares and all are welcome to join!

May we take photos throughout the wedding? Can we post on social media?

We only ask that phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony, unless a momentary photo opportunity is announced (which we will allow a minute or two for photos, so don't worry). Otherwise, we HIGHLY encourage taking photos all night and posting them everywhere you'd like!
