If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone. Please drop Joe and Kels a note if you don’t have "and guest" in your invite but would really like to bring someone special along with you! We are really looking forward to celebrating our special day with you and your plus one!

SHOULD I TIP IN SA?

The amount you tip in South Africa will depend on where you are and what type of services you're buying. As a general rule, expect to tip around 10% of the bill. If you get exceptionally good service, say thank you with a tip closer to 15-20%.

IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL IN SA? ANY WATCHOUTS OR AREAS TO AVOID?

Be alert in major city centres and township areas and when travelling after dark. Avoid walking in isolated areas after dark and parking in unknown areas after dark. Be mindful with any expensive accessories or jewellery - South Africa is a developing nation, and there is a high poverty rate. Crime is a concern. Avoid providing any incentive for pick pocketing and theft. Avoid travelling alone if possible. As a general note - if you are not familiar with travelling in developing countries, always be alert and cautious.

I HAVE A FEW MORE DAYS IN SA, WHAT ELSE IS WORTH SEEING?

Kindly see the Things To Do tab on our website of things we would recommend you worth seeing or doing.
