Sarah & Joseph met in Cincinnati, Ohio in the fall of 2020 when Joseph was working on his last year of pharmacy residency and Sarah began her graduate studies. The two were both new to the city and found it challenging to meet new people due to the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. They connected online in hopes of finding a friend they could explore and adventure with. Their first date was eating pizza and going to a haunted house. The next week, they went on another date and continued to do so weekly for the next three and a half years! While Joseph diligently worked long hours during his residency, the two would often resort to cooking dinner together and walking outside, exploring the city. After finishing his residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Joseph moved back to Houston, Texas (his hometown) in the summer of 2021 to be closer to family. Sarah followed suit shortly after and transferred to a new graduate program.

Joseph & Sarah continued their relationship in Texas, investing in their community and building relationships. Their favorite things to do together are exploring Houston, eating lots of good food, spending time with friends and family, touring coffee shops in the city, cooking together, and kicking the soccer ball around.

Joseph proposed in the summer of 2023 on the soccer field of Sarah's undergraduate college- the field she used to play on as a student. She said yes!

Sarah & Joseph celebrated Sarah's long-awaited graduation from her master's program- the one she began as they started dating. They are happy and grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate so many of life's milestones together. She finished her M.A. and now is happily pursuing her M.R.S. degree! ;)
