Joseph and Yamileth met through friends from their church. Their first date was a blind date to play golf in which they both were nervous. Joseph thought that Yamileth was a professional golfer since her dad teaches at her sister's school. Yamileth was nervous because it was out of her comfort zone. Yamileth was so nervous she went to her parent's house the night before and was telling her mom how scared she was. Her mom gave her a code word to use just in case jajajajaj....

During their date, Joseph was so nervous he called Yamileth Jaime in which she was so confused and decided not to reply to him. Her Friend Tracey told Joseph that her name was Yami. Joseph was so embarrassed he changed colors... jajajjaja Yamileth was laughing a lot and this joke continues to be one of their favorite memories.

The next day, Joseph asked Yamileth to go on a Coffee date at 2pm on a Sunday. Yamileth was so excited she had to change clothes 3xs and Joseph was so excited he stopped his run. If you know Joseph, you know that he loves to run Marathons. Well, Yamileth asked Joseph to meet her at Panera Bread for Coffee. On this day, Joseph and Yamileth talked for 8 hours. During this time, they talked about dating with purpose, marriage, and putting God first in their relationships. They set up boundaries with one another. Yamileth was very impressed with Joseph's character. He continued to impress her by praying for her whenever she was feeing sad, sick, mad etc... Yamileth still thinks that Joseph fell in love with her cooking before her jajajaj.... As they continued to serve God together their love has flourished. God continues to show favor on them and continues to remain faithful to them. When they God engaged, Joseph told Yami that he wanted for them to give back to God the 1st of their engagement. They Fasted together all day and read over the 1st marriage in the Bible and how God intended marriage to be. They also wrote a list of Goals they want in their marriage and Joseph prayed over every single one of them. To Yami, that was one of the most intimate things anyone has ever done for her. She fell in love all over again with him. They are so excited to see what God will do through them and excited to continue to serve God together.
