Nicks point of view:

When I was a Junior and Jo was a freshman we both started volunteering at a GCU ministry called Canyon Kids. Second semester I was added to leadership team for Canyon Kids. Jo and I continued to serve on Canyon kids together. Fast forward to next year, I remember telling my co-best man Javi over the phone about a pretty red head that I was hoping would get added to the leadership team (I voted for her to get added on). She ended up getting added, and I got to know her a bit more, but it wasn’t until about midway through the semester when we started to talk a lot more. One afternoon after ministry, we went to eat as a group. Jo and I were sitting at opposite ends of the table, until her friend asked me to move over to sit next to them (Jo made her ask). I figured that Jo had her do it and I thought that she might be interested in me. Not much later, my friends and I were going to see Dune 2 and I invited Jo to come. She came and we had a lot of fun. My friends and I were going to watch the sunrise the next morning and I invited Jo to come. She came again, then we all got breakfast, then went to ministry, and it was a really fun day. The next week at chapel, I was sitting next to a different girl from our leadership team during worship, and when worship ended, I looked next to me and it was Josephine who was sitting next to me. I was then entirely confident that she liked me, so I texted her asking to hang out and she responded in like 15 seconds saying yes. So we got to know each other romantically, then I asked her to be my girlfriend, then some time later we were engaged. And as we continue in our relationship, I see more each day how Josephine loves the Lord, and desires to honor Christ in all things. How she is strong, loving, compassionate, and unbelievably kind and forgiving. She is radiant, indescribably beautiful. She is my lioness, and I cannot wait to make her my sweet Josephine Brun.
