Our Wedding

Josie’s POV:Wyatt and I were introduced by my neighbor, who was friends with his sister. We soon were texting/chatting on the phone regularly, and went on our first date to Cheddar’s in Findlay. The first date was quite memorable for many reasons, including the fact that Wyatt ordered a wholesome meal of catfish and vegetables, while I ordered a messy burger. I remember thinking it was such a green flag that he ordered such a healthy meal, and how embarrassed I was with my food spilling everywhere. We were both shy and skeptical at first, but as we got to know each other better, we knew we had a special connection. We made our relationship official after about a month. When Wyatt proposed, I was completely surprised. We had discussed marriage plenty of times, but I didnt think he would pop the question anytime soon. The day he proposed, we went to his parents house to watch the OSU game. He insisted on bringing his new Lego Millennium Falcon, and I was so confused as to why he would risk bringing that thing in the car when people could come to our house to see it. At halftime, he wanted to show it to everyone, and he had the ring hidden inside. Wyatt’s POV: Our first date was one to remember. It was raining that day and I picked her up at her house. Officially meeting her at her front door. She seemed skeptical and nervous as was I. I picked cheddars for our first date. It’s a nicer place but still casual. Dropped her off at the door since it was raining. Dinner was interesting, I selected the catfish dinner which was my favorite from that place. This Neanderthal picks the juiciest and greasiest burger they had on the menu. Grease dripping from her hands while she dislocated her jaw like a snake just to bite into this massive burger. All I could think was HOT. On our way home I accidentally said "Jozie" and not "Josie." To which she was very quick and stern to correct me on that. So if you’re meeting her for the first time it’s an s and not a z.&nbsp; In the month or so before we decided to become official I would occasionally run into her at the gym. We went on a couple more dates which were mostly watching scary movies at her house. I wanted her to be my last first date and I’m happy that it became true.&nbsp; For the proposal I wanted to surprise her with the ring. But I had used my sister to go with her to scope out ones she liked and also we had talked about the ring and I had a good idea of what to pick. Going into the proposal I had initially wanted to propose when her mom came to visit but that weekend I was supposed to be gone at work, so I was going to push it off a month. But thankfully the OT got cancelled and I was set to be home that weekend. So it was the weekend of OSU vs Penn State and she for some reason didn’t think too hard about why I was dead set on bringing a Lego set to a football party. I had a whole speech planned about what I was gonna say but my nerves got the best of me and all I could get out was “will you marry me?” To which she started laughing (not the reaction I was expecting). But it all worked out and she said yes. It’s been a wonderful 4yrs and I’m excited for the rest of our life. Love you honey.

We are planning our honeymoon in Hawaii in June. Bailiwicks is our favorite coffee shop. The owner, Jess Wirth, will be officiating our wedding. We like to get Chipotle on Thursday nights. The first movie we watched together was A Quiet Place Part II. When I finally convinced Wyatt to watch Stranger Things (this was around the time season 4 came out), he binged all of seasons 1-4 over a 3-day weekend. Our comfort shows are The Office and Parks and Recreation.
