Josh and Jenna met at work (Burns & McDonnell) where they both work as civil/structural engineers. Josh soon found out that Jenna played volleyball and started asking her to sub on his team. Over the next couple of months, they started hanging out more between volleyball and sharing a lot of mutual friends.

The following company Christmas party, they spent nearly the entire night talking and realized there was a mutual attraction. The following morning, they both let their rational thinking get the better of them and decided it wasn't a good idea working in the same department.

That, however, lasted all of about a week when Jenna decided to send the flirtatious text "Do you need me to sub for volleyball?" It was all but inevitable that they start texting each other more and more over the next couple weeks.

Finally, after volleyball one night, Josh pulled Jenna aside and said he thought they had made a mistake and that they really should give it a go. She said yes, and they dated for two and a half years. During this time, they played a lot of volleyball, watched ISU football and basketball, hung out with friends (that is, once they found out six months later...), and traveling to places like Belize, Germany, Switzerland, and more with themselves, friends, and family.

It was on one of these trips that Josh finally popped the question. While on vacation with Josh's parents and brother in August, he proposed to Jenna on their Kylemore Abbey excursion in Ireland. She said yes and they have been happily engaged since.
