LA VIDA - (Abby's Favorite)

La Vida has remained one of our top study spots through college. Abby loves the massive wooden tables where she can spread out her nursing homework - Josh loves the outlets that are essential for his video editing work. Expect great coffee, cactus, and a choice coffeeshop soundtrack. La Vida is best before 8am - the early morning atmosphere is unmatched.

THE TRADING POST - (Josh's Favorite)

The Trading Post stands out as one of Lynchburg's most unique coffeeshops. Old time general store meets aesthetic coffeeshop. Whether you need to work at a table or have a deep conversation in comfy leather armchairs, this fabulous (and cheap) coffeeshop is the right choice for you. Oh, and they have lots of outlets.

BARNES AND NOBLE (Best for Booklovers)

This bookstore boasts a cozy Starbucks nestled inside the store. If you like to sip coffee surrounded by the smell of freshly printed literature, this is the spot for you. Abby and I love this one because (don't tell management) you don't HAVE to buy coffee to sit at the tables. If you want to sit in Josh's remote office, claim the table by the large windows (there's an outlet if you look closely).

5TH STREET GRIND - (Best for Plant Lovers)

One of the smaller coffeeshops in the burg, 5th Street Grind is owned and run by one guy! His shop is full of artwork from local artists and graced by dozens of plants (all of which are for sale). Swing by for a cup of coffee and maybe a succulent or two... or three. Or four.

THE MUSE - (Best for a Cozy Date)

Cozy. That's the only word for this delightful coffeeshop. Featuring a winding staircase to a secluded upstairs, this shop marks the best spot to have a quiet conversation with your beloved - or to get lost in a book on a rainy day! Abby and I do not go here often, but when we do it's a sweet memory.

THE WHITE HART - (Best for Travelers)

No list of coffee in Lynchburg is complete without The White Hart. Rivaled only by La Vida, it stands out as the most well known coffeeshop in Lynchburg - everyone has been there at least once. Abby and I have had many dates here. One fun aspect is their large tables and selection of boardgames! They have food as well if you're the type to get a sandwich with your espresso.
