In August 2017, at the start of their freshman year at the University of Oklahoma, they were introduced to each other through a mutual friend. They started off as friends and would hang out in large group settings playing games, watching movies, and eating at the dining hall.

In September 2017, Madison had her first date party with Kappa Kappa Gamma and needed someone to go with. She asked our group of friends if anyone was free and Josh eagerly said he could go. They went shopping for matching outfits and had an amazing time! They quickly became best friends after that and would see each other every day!

After a couple months of studying together, Josh walking Madison to and from every class, and lots of movie nights, Josh officially asked Madison to be his girlfriend on November 17, 2017!

They continued to be inseparable during their 4 years of college attending all the game days, date parties, and everything in between with each other. Even though they were a long distance relationship during the summers, that couldn’t stop them. They were so in love!

Spring 2021, Josh and Madison graduated from University of Oklahoma with two degrees each and made plans to move back to San Diego, CA (where Madison is from). Come September 6, 2021 Josh was officially all moved in and long-distance came to an end!

January 8, 2022, Madison added their dog Marley to their little family. Their life felt perfect! Since then they have felt so blessed to be in their new city and start a whole new chapter of their lives!

February 10, 2024, Josh, Madison, and her parents had made dinner plans by the water in Del Mar. Little did Madison know that this was going to turn into an engagement dinner! Josh was nervous all day and on the edge of his seat.

They arrived early to dinner to watch the sunset since it was the first nice day of the year. Josh brought Madison up to the spot and asked her to marry him!

She said yes!!

Now they are excited to welcome their friends and family to their new home and celebrate the beginning of this new and beautiful chapter this upcoming August!
