Josh and Allison met in the summer of 2015, just days after Allison's 21st birthday. She worked at Grand View Lodge as her college summer job. After finishing a shift one day, her and some friends decided to stop into the Pub - the bar at Grand View Lodge. After a couple of Long Island Iced Teas to work up the courage, Allison asked the bartender for his number. That bartender was Josh! They exchanged numbers and a few days later, Josh texted Allison to meet up at Zorbaz on the 4th of July. It didn't take long for Josh and Allison to become very attached and they spent most of their time together that summer at Allison's cabin. They spent their days on the lake, swimming, kayaking, wakeboarding, and looking for shooting stars. Unfortunately, summer had to come to an end. Allison went back to college in Eau Claire and Josh accepted a full time job in Denver and moved half way across the country. They were both extremely sad but decided to say goodbye and go their separate ways.

Summer 2016. Josh came back to Minnesota to visit friends and family for the 4th of July. He called Allison to let her know he was coming to town and see if she wanted to meet up. They hadn't spoken in 6 months and were nervous to see each other again. They met up at the beginning of his trip on Gull Lake with a bunch of their friends. Once they were together again, there was no going back. Josh went back to Denver and they talked every day. Allison went to Denver for the first time that Labor Day of 2016. They road tripped up to Jackson Hole, camping along the way and decided to make it official. The next year and a half consisted of frequent red eye flights to and from Denver/Minneapolis. The distance but tough but worth it and incredible memories were made on those trips. In March of 2018, Josh accepted a job in Minneapolis and made the move back to Minnesota. In fall of 2020 they moved in together and brought home their best friend, Koda. In December of 2021, they bought their first house. Up next, getting married!
