Our Story begins February 2014 when Bri was just 14 and Josh 17. Some may have been skeptical of our age, but Josh quickly erased any concern by showing how much he cared and respected Bri. Soon after they met, Josh graduated high school and went away to college but the distance only made us stronger. In 2015 we got our first fur baby Hunter, and a year later welcomed our second fur baby Macie into our lives. We were sharing custody for the first few years but both Hunter and Macie have grown up with us and are a huge part of our lives.
When Bri graduated and started College in Owen Sound, we got our first apartment in Durham. Josh worked at Leslie Motors in Harriston so it was a perfect spot for each of us to commute, however not necessarily the perfect apartment. It was above Godfathers with a million steep steps, took many days to get clean but it was the best first home to share together. We decorated, moved in with our fur babies, added our kitty’s Milo and Taz, and made it our home.
Over the years we have lived in a few apartments and we have learned, compromised and grown in our relationship. We have had our ups and downs, changes in careers, gained and lost friendships but always had each other to count on. Our families have always been supportive and in our corner and we are thankful for all of you!
On Christmas Eve 2022 in our apartment together, Josh asked Bri to marry him. It was a complete snow storm outside and we couldn’t even make it across town but it was perfect. Of course our families were thrilled, our friends said it’s about time and the planning began. Our wedding would be October 5, 2024 that is until our next announcement came…. our family would be growing again!
Our first baby would be arriving in September! Sometimes things don’t go as planned but God gives us what we need and on September 20, 2024 our daughter Leah Joelle arrived!! She is such a precious gift and is so loved by everyone! Being a Mommy and Daddy is by far the best thing in the world and she is the best part of each of us… she is our heart. Leah will be the most beautiful and perfect flower girl in our wedding.
On October 4, 2025 we will finally begin our lives as husband and wife and are so excited to have you celebrate with us. You all mean so much to us and we will forever be thankful that each one of you are a part of our lives!
