How do I know if I am invited to the wedding reception ?

You will receive a formal invitation in the mail. The wedding reception on Saturday night is going to be small and intimate, so only family and close friends of the bride and groom will be invited. You can also click "RSVP" in the menu tab, and see if your name appears. If you did not receive a formal invitation to the wedding reception, J & C would love to see you at the "Before the 'I DO'" barn party on Thursday Aug 1st, and the ceremony on Aug. 3rd.

Why are they having a barn celebration on a Thursday?

Because, why not! Josh and Calyssa grew up in the same small town, so have lots of friends and family that whey would love to invite to the big day, but they are preferring to keep the wedding day small, intimate, and romantic. So, to kick off the wedding weekend, welcome family and friends, and celebrate the exciting time with everyone, Bill and Anna Richie are hosting a "Before the 'I Do'" celebration in the barn.

Questions Regarding the Wedding Day Only:

What is the dress code?

Black tie baby! We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best BLACK formal dress or suit/tuxedo. Your dress can be poofy, tight, short, or long, it does not matter. Have fun with it!

Are kids welcome?

No, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

Can I bring a guest/date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. This is an intimate wedding and we only want close family and friends. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with questions!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by May 20th using the QR code on your invitation of by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. If you do not RSVP in time we will assume you are unable to attend.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 3:30. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat.

What do i do if i can't make it?

You will be so dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. If you cannot make it to the Thursday "Before the 'I DO'" party on Aug. 1st, there is no need to let us know, but we will miss you!

Where do i park?

The church where our ceremony is being held has a small parking lot, but if there is also street parking. We encourage you to drive your car back to the hotel, and then uber to the reception so there is no drinking and driving. Everything is downtown, so everything is just a few blocks away from each other. You could even walk!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! Drinks on us, hangover on you -- Get ready to party!!!!!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you would like and don't forget to share them with us!
