Our story starts out a little differently than most. After loosing Bryan I was interested in who had the matching necklaces with him. As you can tell the necklace is very important and represents Matthew and everyone else on Rig 219. I made a post on Facebook asking who had the other 2 necklaces. This is when Josh reached out to me. Our conversation was short in the beginning but every day we began to talk more and more. We talked every day for four months before Josh made the 19 hour drive to meet face to face on 10/4/22. We spent the next 6 days together and in that time Josh met my parents and I met his. He ended up moving to Oklahoma in January 2023 and we continued dating and growing closer together. Josh proposed on July 17, 2023 and I said “Of course”! Since then we’ve taken our time and enjoyed our engagement while both working and while I’ve finished my bachelor’s degree. We walked into each other’s life when we both needed it most and have proven we will never leave each other’s side no matter what life has continued to throw at us.
