Our Wedding

It was a beautiful May afternoon in 2015, the smell of grilled meats and the sound of adult beverages being opened were in the air. Josh and a group of St. Anthony teachers were tailgating in anticipation for the Brewers game. Kasia and Josh were unaware that they were about to meet their&nbsp;soul mate! Josh was waiting for a "short girl in yellow shorts and a tall Puerto Rican" ((as told by Kasia's friend and Josh's co-worker (me)&nbsp;who set up the "blind date")) to&nbsp;meet him to join in on the festivities. When Josh met&nbsp;Kasia for the first time the song "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Slegde (insert cliche love song here) filled&nbsp;his head and in his chest, he&nbsp; felt his heart skip a beat. Conversation was easy and connections grew. Little&nbsp;did they&nbsp;know, sitting next to each other that day in&nbsp;MILLER PARK STADIUM that they were becoming increasingly smitten as the innings flew by. After the butterflies settled and the "blind date" came to an end, dates continued, love endured and a relationship grew. ...Don't&nbsp;ask them the score of the game...

It was&nbsp;October 2017, The smell of autumn leaves and sweat was&nbsp; in the air. Kasia&nbsp;and Josh&nbsp;were sweating&nbsp;(a rare thing for Kasia) putting feet to pavement for 26.2 miles in the Milwaukee Lakefront&nbsp;Marathon, putting&nbsp;their legs... and&nbsp;love through the ultimate test. Josh&nbsp;was driven to finish every mile by a&nbsp;secret he was keeping in his heart (and his gym bag). He told no one of his plans except his parent's&nbsp;the day of the race. Disoriented, after crossing the finish line,&nbsp;the couple searched for each other in the busy crowd of race finishers. Their&nbsp;eyes met, they embraced to congratulate each other for finishing. Kasia was relived after running a good race, Josh fell to&nbsp;his knees (literally, but it was very romantic). (As a bystander, my immediate response was "Oh no Josh hurt his knees somebody help!"). Then we&nbsp;saw Kasia's eyes light up and fill&nbsp;with tears of joy. Josh had a ring in his hand. She said yes!! Their&nbsp;parents and friends were shocked, an applause erupted as Kasia pulled Josh up and xoxo'ed for the first time as an engaged couple!&nbsp;











...don't ask them who won the race... Especially Josh.

Chris and I met long long ago in a&nbsp;building called Purdy Elementary. He was always jealous of my amazing athletic ability so he followed me around from Purdy to FAMS to FAHS and finally&nbsp;to UW-Whitewater where we&nbsp;roomed together. We had many&nbsp;adventures together as he is 1/3 of the amigos??? Yeah never really came up with a name.&nbsp;&nbsp;We obviously are too cool for that.

Chris Buskirk

Iva and I met in homeroom in High School.&nbsp; We instantly bonded over our crazy personalities and loudness.&nbsp; Soon we were inseparable.&nbsp; Hanging out on park swings, drawing with chalk, working out with the powerlifting team, then going to college together. &nbsp;Quiznos chicken carbonara with pickles. &nbsp;Girl that is our sandwich.&nbsp;&nbsp;Painting the town red together (and ladybug club dancing)...forever.&nbsp;

Iva Brophy

Abe and I met in Middle school and then we spent the entirety of high school stopping at one of his family members house since he would never go to school. Being the other 1/3 of the amigos he didn't attend UW-Whitewater but we made sure he visited enough. Unfortunately, it was only about 1 weekend a month and then he would obviously go into hibernation for the rest of the month. Then there was also that one time in Toronto where we didn't think we were going to make it back to USA......Abe wasn't too upset about that

Abe Yang

Rachel and I met on the swim team in high school.&nbsp; Distance buddies forever! Rachel always swam behind me...&nbsp; So then we joined powerlifting, track&nbsp;and soccer together.&nbsp; Then she&nbsp;left me and went to the military and we were separated for a year.&nbsp; I wrote her every day.&nbsp; You can ask her... she still has my letters.&nbsp; We share the love of travel, and have been to Ireland together.&nbsp; Driving stick shift, on the other side of the road, and&nbsp;eating pizza in bathrooms... best friend you stole my heart &lt;3

Rachel Labinski

I met Adam in High School as we both had tight ends in football. Oh wait I mean were tight ends....Any way followed his ass&nbsp;to college where he tricked me with good beer to join rugby. Eventually made the mistake of living with his ass and becoming lovers of good beer like RED&nbsp;DOG.

Adam Kiepert

Amy and I met in Spanish class in high school. &nbsp;We bonded over copying each others answers and trying to get an A. &nbsp;Then I followed Amy to choir class where we sang our&nbsp;alto hearts out. &nbsp;From High School to college: creating the mudbutt drink, trying to get McDonalds to deliver (in 2006),&nbsp; basement parties,&nbsp;going to her parents cabin, Amy's first TRX class,&nbsp;and SPIRE cycling. &nbsp;The moments are always an amazing ride with you. :)

Amy Morren

Sara and I met at Concordia University while studying to become Physical Education teachers together. &nbsp;Sara and I ended up living together for almost 4 years. &nbsp;The college life was great we ate taco dip, cheesecake, ran on the track team, found couches on the side of roads, wrote 20 page research&nbsp;papers in 2 nights, and raised lion together. &nbsp;Then real life started and we&nbsp;ran half marathons and marathons together. &nbsp;While one of our many runs together Sara started talking about Josh Hahn. &nbsp;Then before you know it she used cupids arrow and Josh and I fell in love...thanks Sara! :)

Sara Wollner

I&nbsp;met Jake when he popped&nbsp;out of his mother or something like that. He is my cousin who has been more like a brother growing up. We did a good job of causing some ruckus while growing up. He is also&nbsp;the cool one who got to live in Hawaii....but I still remember when&nbsp;someone couldn't make a cup in beer pong and had to run a naked lap around my apt.....Good old Jack Daniels&nbsp;

Jake Graves

Carly and I met on the swim team in High School. &nbsp;Then I took her under my wing and taught her how to be a great swim coach. &nbsp;Carly you are my protege. &nbsp; &nbsp;We coached swim club and high school together for many years. &nbsp;Making lineups in her parents basement. &nbsp;From SMAC meetings to traveling to Spain. &nbsp;You are truly an amazing friend. &nbsp;

Carly Fortier

I met Andrew in high school when&nbsp;he was finally cool enough to move out of Iowa and live in the great WI. He then went to UW-Whitewater where we perfected our Basketball skills. We also lived together for one magical year...RIP&nbsp;AL Davis. After a road trip to cali and back with a fun flat tire&nbsp;we became&nbsp;brosquatches with our manly beards and all.

Andrew Budlong

Taylor and I met while working at South Milwaukee High School. &nbsp;She was new to the town and needed more work so Taylor became my assistant boys swim coach. &nbsp;Taylor slept on the couch many nights because she lived so far away. &nbsp;So Sara and I asked her to move into&nbsp;633 E Burleigh where we&nbsp;created some amazing memories. &nbsp;Drafty windows, dance parties, Sookie, and the start of a wonderful friendship.&nbsp;&nbsp; We both love summer, beaches, Florida, Michigan, and teaching people about lifeguarding. &nbsp;Taylor, you can save my life any day&nbsp;;)

Taylor York

I met Michael in High School at a magical place called Nasco.&nbsp;Where we would go on lunch dates in his car while watching movies. He became my sensei at Nasco and then took me to some dude named Adam's house and taught me how to dominate people in beer pong.&nbsp;
