When they were 17 years old, Josh and Jenny (ie) met at a diversity awareness and human rights camp called Anytown, USA. Upon arrival to Anytown Josh's group of friends from St.Benedict's Prep and Jenny's group of friends from Memorial High school became fast friends. They bonded and the friendship extended beyond their week at camp and into their senior year of high school. They even arranged an exchange program where they visited each other's school for a day. However, as high school came to a close and everyone went away to college, the friends drifted apart.

Now here is where the true love story began. Josh was out one night in Hoboken with some friends, and ran into a mutual friend, Jully. She invited Josh to join her the following day to have drinks in NYC with Jenny and a few other friends (this was a surprise to Jenny). Jenny and Josh immediately gravitated towards each other and they bonded over their shared appreciation for tequila shots. A week after blockheads, Josh invited Jenny to his house for a party. Josh's ability to host a party is probably what sealed the deal. From that day forward the two were pretty much inseparable. Josh saw the direction the relationship was going, but realized he had not taken Jenny on an official date. On Sunday May 30, 2010 Josh took Jenny out on their first date to Lombardi's for her favorite food, pizza. Not long after that, on June 21st Josh and Jenny made it "official" and they've been together ever since.

Josh wanted to make sure that the day he asked Jenny to marry him, would be a day she would never forget. With the guise of meeting Jared and Perla for a whisky tasting, Josh got Jenny to NYC. However, the Uber did not pull up to any whiskey tasting venue, rather they had arrived right back to where they went on their first date. It was there on the sidewalk in front of Lombardi's that Josh got down on one knee and asked Jenny to marry him. Jenny was overwhelmed with emotion and Josh had to remind her that she needed to give him an answer. The answer was "Yes". The surprises were not done though.

As if the day wasn't amazing enough, Josh told her he had the full day planned. He had a couple more stops before they could head back home to let Jenny's mom know the good news. They ate pizza at Lombardi's and took a stroll in Nolita. They headed out for Spring Street Natural where close friends and family were waiting to surprise Jenny on her Teacher of the Year award. Surprise! Guests thought they were there for a Teacher of the Year party, they had no idea Josh and Jenny were engaged. Once Jenny held up her hand and flashed the bling, the crowd went wild. They spent the rest of the night laughing and celebrating along side their loved ones. It was truly an unforgettable night.
