Green Lakes State Park is a gem in the Syracuse area. It has miles of hiking trails (beware of ticks in tall grass) and two beautiful glacial lakes with beaches. No swimming after Labor Day unfortunately but a potential for paddling if rentals are open. The park also boasts an 18 hole golf course and an 18 hole disc golf course, so bring your discs! There is a nice restaurant at the golf course, Yardes Grille, along with a snack shack at the beach.



While this weekend will have activities for the whole family, it will also likely be a rager. If you have young ones and want to party with us, maybe consider bringing a baby sitter along! Just make sure to let me know we’re going to have an extra guest. Or if you are local, maybe call in the GMA/GPA special forces to scoop the kiddos before you start to fade into oblivion with us.
If you decide to make it an adult getaway without the kids in tow, we totally get that too.
