Emily is my little sister and self-proclaimed my biggest fan! Growing up we had our fair share of (meaningless) fights, but have since been inseparable! I don’t have the words to describe how special our friendship is, but I could not imagine life without her! And, anyone who knows Emily knows she has a big personality, so it’s been fun to see her and Josh interact and include him in the family of girls (and our Dad). Emily is one of the most creative people I know (she definitely got that gene from our mom!) and boldly knows who she is, and I truly admire that about her!

I met Carter as my freshman roommate at OSU where I had randomly picked his profile out of dozens to begin my college experience. We hit it off as two goofy dudes and have stuck together ever since, moving into a house sophomore year and me following Carter to Tulsa after school. I love Carter because he has been with me through many experiences and phases of my life, seeing the worst sides of me along the way, but he has always been there for me. He continues to love on me despite all of my gunk and I'm so excited that he is going to be next to me in this next phase.

I met Vera through YAC at our church in the Summer of 2021. We quickly became great friends and have continued to grow closer together! She has been close friends with both me and Josh through YAC. Vera is also very proud of her role of “stirring the pot” to help get our relationship started in March of 2022. For me, Vera has been such a big blessing for life after college, and I am extremely thankful for her coming to Tulsa! We love to take walks and joke about being neighbors one day, Josh is not as sure about that one… yet!

My older brother Nate has been a great example to me my entire life. While we are very different people now, I still fondly remember us being the biggest nerds about everything growing up. Star Wars, Pokemon, Yugi-Oh, you name it, Nate was all about it and I wanted to follow suit. I tried to emulate him in a lot of ways, but the one I think I most appreciate now is just how genuinely kind and gentle-spirited he is. He's always just been a sweet guy. I'm not as nerdy as he is anymore and we aren't as close geographically either, but I am so thankful that Nate will always be my kind big brother.

Hannah and I played volleyball together for 4 years at the University of Tulsa. Our time as teammates together helped create a strong friendship, and time since finishing volleyball in the Fall of 2021 we have become closer as friends and continued to grow in faith and walk through life together. I would not have imagined how close we have become after volleyball, but it has been so sweet to see our bond from volleyball flourish into this friendship!

I am so thankful that I can count on Jon, my younger sibling, as one of my groomsmen. Jon and I have a unique relationship since they are probably the person that has seen the worst sides of me ever since we were kids. We definitely didn't see eye to eye growing up and I was DEFINITELY not a very good big brother. But knowing that despite all of my junk, Jon loves me and would be willing to go out of their comfort zone for me has been one of the sweetest things about this entire process!

I met Meredith through Young Life in 2018, and through several trips together for various Young Life adventures became great friends. She is one of my closest Jesus-loving friends and part of the deep community that I needed throughout my college years! If you know me, you know I love the sun and taking walks, and Meredith shares in that joy with me and I love that about her!

Similar to Carter, I met Patrick my freshman year in Stout Hall at OSU. He was part of my core group that lived together throughout college. We spent the most time together during COVID when it was just us in the house, going on walks, watching new shows, and just trying to not go crazy. And while Patrick can be awkward and a little weird, he is the most loyal friend I could have.

I met Maegen through Young Life in 2018, and through several trips together for various Young Life adventures we became great friends. Maegen was also part of that deep community I needed in my college years and a very close and sweet friendship. Maegen is a fellow cat lover, and I am not ashamed that I am definitely a cat person, too! Maegen is still leading Young Life girls with her husband in Dallas now.

Another one of my close friends from freshman year at OSU, Iain (yes it is really spelled like that) is the fun one. I remember during some of my lowest times in college Iain was always able to put a smile on my face just from his presence and general demeanor. It's impossible not to be at ease and have fun when he's around! There's no man on earth that can rock a peacoat like Iain can.
